The Camp.
Sunningdale.
My dear Mrs Gunn*1
My cousin Inglis*2 has written to me about your difficulties as to the disposal of
my dear uncle[']s*3 Geological mss[manuscripts?], & it has struck me as very
possible that Mr Woodward would them, especially if he could have some little
reimbursement for his time -- you have no doubt seen the brief notice that he
wrote to the Geological Journal?. & being a Norfolk man man & sympathetic &
and ardent admirer of your husband, would, if he did undertake it, do it well.
[[2]] Lady [Hyacinth] Hooker is at Worthing with two of the children & would
join me in kindest regards
Most Loving[ly] Y[ou]r[s] | Jos D Hooker [signature]
