Aim of the meeting
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of research activities in the new capanna Margherita build in
1979 and review the research activities in high altitude physiology and medicine performed at
the hut.

Saturday afternoon after the end of the congress excursion to Alagna-Valsesia with easy walk
to the Rifugio Pastore (impressive panorama of the Monte-Rosa south-east face), visit of the
Valser Museum and dinner.

Participants have to register via the congress secretariat at the University Hospital in Zurich.

whether you participate to the gala dinner and/or to the excursion on Saturday afternoon. The
congress fee is 150 Euro until September 14, 2008, thereafter 200 Euro. A separate fee of 40
Euro is charged for the gala dinner and 50 Euro for the excursion with visit to the museum and
dinner. Payments details are given as soon as you registered.

By plane: Varallo Valsesia is at 70 km distance from Malpensa Airport and 110 km from
Airport Milano Linate. A bus connects Malpensa Airport with Novara railway station from
which you have direct trains to Varallo. Airport Milano Linate is connected with Malpensa
Airport by bus.
By train: The Varallo-Novara line links up Varallo with: Milano, Torino, Mortara, Pavia,
Alessandria, Genova. At Romagnano (on the way from Varallo to Novara) connections for:
Santhià-Torino, Arona-Sempione.
By bus: Daily direct connections from Milano and Torino
