Seniors with Outstanding debts: Any senior owing any debts will not be allowed to participate in senior activities. Seniors should pay debts to Ms. Bohnstedt, Ms. Jacobsen, or Ms. Dickinson. Senior Convocation: May 19, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium Seniors, please meet in the gym at 5:30 p.m. for the graduation panoramic picture. You must wear your gown (no cap). The following dress is necessary for the picture & ceremony: o Ladies: Collarless Dress and Dark Shoes o Gentlemen: White Dress Shirt and Dark Tie, Long Dark Dress Pants, Dark Socks and Dark Dress Shoes The parents/guardians of seniors receiving awards will be notified in advance. Parents and students are invited to enjoy a reception following the ceremony in the commons Only students attending senior convocation will be eligible for an extra ticket. A lottery system will be used to determine the recipients of extra tickets. You must be present to be in the lottery. Senior Picnic May 16, 2014 – Details TBD Senior Examinations: May 29th: English & CTE June 2nd: Social Studies & World Language May 30th: Math & Fine Arts June 3rd: Science & PE o o All senior exams will be taken in the commons starting at 7:35 a.m. Students may take both exams back to back and may leave after completing the required exams for the day. A senior may be exempt from taking a final exam in any subject for which he/she has an average of 80 or better for the course. Graduation Rehearsal: Rehearsal will be held June 5, 2014 in the gymnasium promptly at 8:30 a.m. and end around 11:30 a.m. Participation in Graduation Rehearsal is mandatory for participation in the Graduation Ceremony. Guidance staff will notify any senior not graduating by Wednesday June 4th. Attire for practice is casual- do not wear gown to practice. Graduation: 1. Ceremony: Graduation will be held in the gymnasium at June 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Seniors are encouraged to carpool or have a parent drop you off, as parking will be limited. Those seniors needing to drive should park in the bus parking lot. Seniors are to report no later than 6:30 p.m. for line-up. Please note that once the graduation proceedings have begun, guests will not be permitted to enter or leave the gymnasium through the doors in front of the gym next to the stage. 2. Graduation Tickets : Each senior will be allotted three (3) tickets for graduation for admission to the gymnasium. Each senior will also receive two (2) tickets for admission to the auditorium area where they may view the commencement ceremony live on large screen. Additionally, students with perfect attendance will receive one (1) additional ticket to the gymnasium. If an additional ticket is needed a lottery system will be held following senior convocation on May 19, 2014. Specific tickets are required to get into each venue. Seniors will receive all of their tickets during graduation practice. Students with outstanding debt will NOT receive their tickets until debts are paid. Friends and relatives who are unable to attend graduation will be able to view the ceremony via ustream. Information about how to access the web address will be available closer to the date of graduation. 3. Dress for Graduation: Seniors planning to participate in graduation must wear a cap and gown. The following dress is necessary for graduation Ladies: Collarless Dress and Dark Shoes Gentlemen: White Dress Shirt and Dark Tie, Long Dark Dress Pants, Dark Socks and Dark Dress Shoes Inappropriate dress will result in a student not marching in graduation 4. Senior Report Cards: Report cards will be mailed to all students 5. Diploma Pick Up for Seniors Not Participating in Graduation Any graduate who does not participate in the graduation ceremony may pick up his/her diploma in the Counseling Office after Monday, June 9, 2014. 6. Graduation Pictures A professional photographer has been hired to take individual pictures of each graduate as he/she receives his/her diploma. You will receive a proof of the picture as well as ordering information in the mail. Please contact Allison Jacobsen in the Counseling Office if you need to update your address. No one will be permitted in the area where the graduates are seated or around the stage. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
