Qualifications for Membership
1. Patron:
Individual and/or organizations interested in the advancement of the objects of the Association, who
contribute a lumpsum of not less than Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) to the funds of the Association,
shall be considered by the Central Executive Council (CEC) for declaration as Patrons of Association.
2. Life Member:
Individual who fulfil the qualifications laid down for Fellow Members are eligible to apply for Life
Membership. Fellow Members of the Association are eligible to convert their Membership into Life
Membership by paying the prescribed fees.
3. Fellow Member:
Candidates for Fellow Membership shall be graduates in technology or engineering, or postgraduates in
science, with at least five years of professional experience in the field.
Associate Members of at least five years standing shall also be eligible to apply for election as Fellow
Members provided their career, in the opinion of the CECIZEC, entitles them to election as Fellow Members
of the Association.
4. Affiliate Member:
Candidates seeking admission, as Affiliate Members should be those, who in the opinion of the CEC/ZEC,
do not possess requisite qualifications, but are interested in the trade of oils and related materials.
5. Student Member:
Candidates seeking admission as Student Members shall be at least students of a B. Tech. or equivalent
course, or should be receiving technical education or practical training in some branch of the areas of
activity of the Association in a duly recognised institution or industry in India. Application should be duly
recommended by the Head of the Department.
Such membership will be for a limited term. Post-graduate or Research students receiving fellowship are
not eligible for student membership

Membership application forms can be obtained from Zonal offices.
Completed application forms (in duplicate) should be sent to above address along with crossed demand
draft or cheque for the total amount of admission fees and one year's annual subscription in favour of
"Oil Technologists' Association of India, ( West / East /North /South/ Central Zone)". Outstation cheques
are not accepted.
Membership year is 1st April to 31st March.
