DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY OF NON-COMPLIANCE: Students are not receiving supports and services with accommodations that will enable them to benefit from and make progress in the general curriculum.
GOAL # 1: Students with disabilities receive appropriate supports and services to enable them to benefit from and make progress in the general curriculum.
BARRIERS TO GOAL: 1) Lack of knowledge of appropriate Positive Behavior Supports at all levels: teachers, school administration and district administration.
2) Ineffective method of tracking student progress to include continuity of services from one school to another. 3) Student scheduling for instruction and support needs to include more collaboration between schools, teachers, parents and counselors or school scheduling administrators. 4) Student progress monitoring must be followed up by effective action and planning to include changes in behavior management, instructional methods and/or instructional programming.
