Christmas Tree Ornament Assignment
Create an ornament that can be placed on a Christmas tree. The ornament must represent
something we’ve studied this year in English class. A symbol from any of the following:
a piece of literature, a book you’ve read from your outside reading assignment, a
grammar rule, punctuation, quote, poem, debate data, research, music analogies etc. You
decide. Then, on an index card, write a brief description of your symbol and its
symbolism. The ornaments are due Wednesday of next week. We will decorate our
classroom tree with these ornaments. This counts as a test grade so don’t procrastinate.
