Newsletter 6th July 2015 Sun Protection The sun’s rays are particularly strong over the summer and they can damage children’s skin. Your child’s well-being is very important to us and I would ask you to ensure that your child is sent to school with a sun hat and that sunscreen is applied before they come to school for the remainder of the term. The children are outside on a daily basis and even on cloudy days the sun’s rays can filter through and be harmful. This week is sports days and the children will be outside for sustained periods of time. Sun cream does wear off as children sweat and it is perfectly acceptable for them to bring sun cream into school for them to apply themselves. We are unable to keep stocks of sun cream in school as some children are allergic to certain brands and parents/carers know best what suits their child’s needs. Sports Days Another reminder that events are being held as follows: Monday 6th July at 1.30pm - Y3 and Y4 Wednesday 8th July at 1.30pm - Y1 and Y2 Thursday 9th July at 10.00am - Reception and morning nursery Thursday 9th July at 1.30pm - afternoon nursery Friday 10th July at 1.30pm - Y5 and Y6 Music Soiree A Reminder that on Wednesday 15th July we will be holding our final Music Concert of the year in the school hall. It starts at 6.0’clock and lasts for approximately one hour. Our Key Stage 2 musicians have been working extremely hard to provide us with what I’m sure will be a wonderful evening. Letters for ordering tickets will go out this Thursday. Attendance Congratulations to Miss Bank’s class who won ‘Spike’ last week with an attendance of 100%. Well done everyone!
