Obstacle Detection using Neural Networks Simnan Abbas Advisor: Prof. Kornhauser. The project hopes to look at how neural networks can be used to recognize and detect whether a moving car will collide with an upcoming object, using neural networks. The network could hypothetically be given the video feed of the path ahead from a car and be used to tell what the probability of an object ahead colliding with the car is. This project would have some stumbling blocks, such as how to train the network and how much of it is actually feasible given time constraints, but they will hopefully be ironed out within the next couple of weeks.
