ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD GAMES AND COMICS
DESIGN COMPETITION
(Secondary School Students Division)
The Warehouse Teenage Club, with the assistance from the Environmental
Protection Department, would establish the first Environmental Resource Centre
in Hong Kong Island South and would organize series of activities, courses and
competitions so as to enhance the general public’s environmental awareness.
First of all, the Warehouse Teenage Club would organize the “Environmental
Board Games and Comics Design Competition” jointly with Environmental
Protection Department.
All secondary school students are welcomed to
participate.
Objectives
1. Encourage students to integrate environmental awareness with their creativity
and promote environmental protection through different media
2. Encourage students to reuse their waste so as to develop sense of
environmental protection

Environmental Board Games Design Competition
Theme: Environmental protection e.g. energy saving, wastes reduction, water
saving, fresh air, noise reduction, green life, green school, polluter
pays, etc.
Size:
Length 60 cm
Width 60 cm
Height unlimited
All artworks must be accompanied by manuals.
All artworks must be made out of waste materials.
Environmental Comics Competition
Theme: Environmental protection e.g. energy saving, waste reduction, water
saving, fresh air, noise reduction, green life, green school, polluter
pay, etc.
Colour: 4-8 squares strip comics, in black and white (pencil drawing alone

not accepted) or multi-colours, each square should be 12 cm X 12cm.
Computer drawings, cutouts and photos are not accepted.
Language: Both Chinese and English are welcomed.
Artworks need not be mounted but must be protected by thick cardboards.
The organizer would not be responsible for any damage to artworks when
send in by
post.
Competition Regulations:
1. Teams with 2-5 students are invited to take part in one or two competitions.
The number of artworks presented by each participating school is unlimited.
2. Any school interested in the competitions, please sign and fax the Reply Slip
(Annex II) to The Warehouse Teenage Club on or before 20 November 2004,

3. All artworks with Enrolment form (Annex III) should be sent to the

Teenage Club on or before 19 December 2004, Sunday, 5:00 p.m.
4. All artworks must be original and have never been published or gained any

other competition.
5. The winning artworks would be displayed in the Warehouse Teenage Club.
6. The organizer reserves the right to publicize, display the winning artworks on
a

y
mass media.
7. Copyright of all artworks belongs to the organizer.
8. All artworks would not be returned to participants.
Prizes:
Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up and Merit Award. The Most Enthusiastic
School Award for school with most participants. Prizes would be presented
during the Opening Ceremony of the Warehouse Environmental Resource Centre.
All winners and 5 students from the Most Enthusiastic School would be invited to
take part in visiting Creative and Design Company.

Adjudication Panel:
Members include representatives from the Board of Directors of The Warehouse
Teenage Club, Environmental Protection Department and famous artists.
