Description:
If you are passionate about travel and have a knack for photography and writing then you are the
perfect candidate for an exciting opportunity to serve as CroisiEurope’s “Photo Reporter” for the
summer of 2015. Over the course of this three month program, explore 14 countries across Europe
and Asia aboard 10 CroisiEurope ships as you develop your writing and photography skills.
CroisiEurope will be accepting one qualified student, from the United States or Canada, to embark on
this journey of a lifetime. If you are interested in applying send your cover letter, resume and sample

This program is in partnership with Air France. All travel expenses will be covered by CroisiEurope
and air travel will be courtesy of Air France.
Mission:
Every day, you will have to manage:
-
A blog (http://bit.ly/1Ce8Iht) on the website of the company
(https://www.CroisiEuropeRiverCruises.com) with an article per day of cruising;

A Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/PhotoTourCroisiEurope);
-
A Twitter account (https://twitter.com/CruisePhotoTour) ;
-
Capture thousands of photos for the blog and social media.
Total remuneration for the assignment will be € 1524.60 (Approximately $1819.61).
Itinerary:
1. France: cruise the Seine River from Paris to discover Paris, Honfleur, the Normandy Beaches
and Rouen.
2. France: cruise the Gironde Estuary, the Dordogne and Garonne and Gironde Rivers from
Bordeaux to discover the Bordeaux region, its cultural heritage and castles.
3. France: cruise the Rhône River from Lyon all the way to Martigues in the South of France to
discover delightful Provence.
4. Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia: cruise the Danube River from Linz and discover 3 wonderful
European capital cities, Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava.
5. Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands: cruise the Rhine River from Basel to
Amsterdam. From the Three Countries Bridge to Holland, discover a captivating blend of
nature and culture.
6. Portugal and Spain: cruise the famous and impressive Douro River through the spectacular
Douro Valley to discover Porto in Portugal and Salamanca in Spain.
7. Spain: cruise the Guadalquivir River to discover Andalusia and the South of Spain, a land of
Flamenco, tradition and gastronomy.
8. Italy: discover Venice, the islands of the lagoon Burano and Murano, as well as the towns of
Verona and Ferrara.
9. Croatia and Montenegro: cruise the Adriatic Sea, its enchanting islands, and the Kotor
Estuary and discover this beautiful part of Europe on a Mediterranean voyage. You will see
dazzling landscapes and architectural diversity in pure Veneto-Byzantine tradition. You will
also discover the paradise islands of Mljet, Korcula, Vis, and Hvar.
10. Vietnam and Cambodia: fly to South East Asia and cruise along the mighty Mekong from
Siem Reap to Hanoi on board a comfortable and charming cruise boat with 4-star
accommodation.
Experiential Learning:

Journalism: Sharpen your writing skills while independently managing a blog including
publishing a blog post per day of cruising. The posts should be creative and engaging in order
to attract as many readers as possible.

Social Media: Independently manage a Facebook and Twitter account chronicling your
journey throughout the world. How many fans will you be able to get?

Photography: Take thousands of pictures to illustrate your blog articles and to engage your
social media followers.

Personal Growth: Discover 14 countries and their cultures divided between two continents:
Europe & Asia. Work with an international crew on board the ships.
Eligibility Requirements:

U.S / Canadian citizenship

Undergraduates (juniors & seniors) and graduate students

describing a weekend in your favorite city, plus 5 to 10 photos that you have taken.

Once they have submitted their application, students also have the option to post a picture on the
photo tour Facebook page via a dedicated app (http://on.fb.me/1sVunt8). The 5 photos that get the
most likes will automatically qualify the candidates who took them as part of the 20 people who will
be interviewed in the pre-selection process.
Your writing skills, as well as the quality of your photos will be taken into consideration when
selecting candidates for the position.

The Selection Process:

Completed Applications: The Photo Tour team will receive applications from students, via
email at applications@croisieurope.com. The deadline to submit applications will be on
March 22, 2015.

Pre-Selection: Twenty pre-selected students who pass the first round will be contacted via
email by March 27, 2015 to schedule an interview.
Optional: Once they have submitted their application, students also have the option to post a picture
on the photo tour Facebook page via a dedicated app (http://on.fb.me/1sVunt8). The 5 photos that
get the most likes will automatically qualify the candidates who took them as part of the 20 people
who will be interviewed in the pre-selection process.
Selection: The student selected to be CroisiEurope’s Photo Reporter for 2015 will be contacted on
April 3, 2015.
