Evidence requirements 1.1 Configuration changes are made to the database software according to organisation requirements. 1.2 Changes to the database software maintain the validity of data in the database. 1.3 Monitoring and tuning of the database software ensures the operation and performance meets manufacturer’s and organisation specifications. Outcome 2 Manage database objects in a multi-user computer database. Evidence requirements 2.1 Databases objects are defined to the DBMS according to organisation requirements, standards, and procedures. 2.2 Database objects are protected according to organisation requirements. Range 2.3 backup, archive, security, change control. Damaged database objects are restored to a status acceptable to the organisation, and according to organisation specifications. This unit standard is Outcome 3 expiring Plan capacity for a multi-user computer database. 2.4 Database objects are accessible, available, and secure according to organisation requirements. Evidence requirements 3.1 The plan forecasts capacity needed according to organisation requirements. 3.2 The plan makes recommendations that will resolve projected capacity shortfalls. Outcome 4 Review the operation of a multi-user computer database. Evidence requirements 4.1 The review procedure meets organisation standards and procedures.
