ATENT POAAIBLE WAYS OF EXPOSURE: INHALATION, PERORAL
INGESTION, TRANSCUTANEOUS INGESTION
HEALTH HAZARDS: EXTREMELY CORROSIVE TO THE SKIN, MUCOSA
AND CORNEA, THE AGUEOUS SOLUTION MAY CAUSE VOMITING, SEVERE
PAIN IN THE ABDOMEN, FAILURE, COLLAPSE, OR EVEN DEATH, AND MAY
EREATE ESOPHAGEAL STRICTURE AS ONE SEQUELAE OF SWALLOWING
THE AGENT, IN HALATION OF ITS POWDER OR SMOKE MAY CAUSE
CORROSION TO THE RESPIRATORY TRACT.
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: MAY CAUSE THE PH VALUE OF THE SOIL

BUT ITS AQUEOUS SOLUTIN CAN FRACT WITH A NUMBER OF METALS
AND AMMONIUM SALTS TO PRODUCE HYDROGEN GAS, WHICH IS
HIGHLY IXPLOSIVE.

FIRST AID MEASURES
SKIN CONTACT: TAKE OFF CLOTHES, RINSE IMMDEIATELY WITH PLENTY
OF WATER, THEN SASH THE AFECTED AREAS WITH 0.05% BORIC ACID
SOLUTION, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.
EYE CONTACT: OPEN THE EYELIDS IMMEDIATELY AND RINSE WITH
FLOWING CLEAN WATER FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES, THEN WASH WITH
0.05% BORIC ACID SOLUTION. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION
INHALATION: LEAVE THE SITE IMMEDIATELY FOR A WELL-NENTILATED
PLACE TO TAKE A GOOD REST. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.
IN GESTION: AFTER ACCIDENTAL OR CASUAL INGESTION, RINSE THE
MOUTH AND TRY TO CAUSE VOMITION IMMEDIATELY, DRINK WATER
AND VINEGAR, OR 1% ACETIC ACID. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.

FIRE HAZARDS: THE PRODUCT IS NON-INFLAMMABLE, BUT WHTN
COMING INTO CONTACT WITH WATER IT CAN GENERATE MUCH HEAT,
AND IT CAN ALSO REACT WITH ACIDS ACUTELY TO PRODUCE LARGE
AMOUNTS OF HEAT, THEREBY LEADING TO IGNITION OF
INFLAMMABLES. WHEN STORED IN DAMP CONDITIONS OR WHTN IN
THE FORM OF AQUEOUS SOLUTIM, IT CAN REACT WITH MATALS (SUCH
AS TIN, ZINC OR ALUMINUM) AND AMMONIUM SALTS TO RELEASE
HYDROGEN GAS, WHICH REPRESENTS A FIRE HAZARD.

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: WATEROR SAND, WHEN COMING INTO
CONTACT WITH WATER THE PRODUCT CAN PRODUCE MUCH HEAT,

LEADINGTO POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURIES. BE CAREFUL TO AVOID

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
COLLECT ANY MATERIAL RELEASED ACCIDENTALLY AND POUR INTO
WATER GRADUALLY. MUST HEAT WILL BY PRODUCED SO THAT PROPER
CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO AVOID POSSIBLE INJURIES WHICH MIGHT
BE CAUSED BY BOILING WATER. FLUSH CLEAN THE FLOOR WITH WATER
WHICH SHOULD THEN BE HIGHLY DILUTED BEFORE BEING
DISCHARGED INTO THE SEWER. OPERATORS SHOULD WEAR
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, FUBBER BOOTS, EMULSION APRONS, SAFETY
GLASSES, EMULSING GLOVES AND HELMETS. THOSE WHO ARE
CONTAMINATED WITH ANY SLKALINE LIQUID SHOULD TADE OFF
THERIR CLOTHES IMMEDIATELY AND RINSE WITH PLENTY OF WATER.

WELL-VENTILATED PLACE WHICH IS AWAY FROM ANY FIRE OR HEAT
SOURCES. AVOID CONTACT WITH ACIDS, H FOAMING AGENTS,
EYANIDES OR METAL POWDERS.
HANDLING IN MOIST CONDITIONS SHOULD BE AVOEDED BECARSE THE
PRODUCTEASILY BECOMES DAMP, OPERATER SHOULD WEAR
PROTESTIVE CHOTHIES, RUBBER BOOTS EMULSING APRONS, SAFETY
GLASSES, EMULSION GLOVES AND DUST GARZE MUXKS.
STORAGE; POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE EASILY GETS DAMP AND
DECOMPOSED. ONCE COMING INTO CONTACT WITH THE AIR, IT WILL
ABSORB CARBON DIOXIDE FROM THE AIR AND BECOME DEGRADED. IT
SHOULD THEREFORE BE STORED IN A DRY PLACE WITH INTACT
PACKAGING TO KEEEP IT FROM BECOMING DAMP. AND IT SHOULD BE
STORED AND CARRIED SEPARATELY FROM ANY ACIDS. ALUMINUM, TIN,
LEAD, ZINE AND ITS ALLOYS, EXPLOSIVES, PEROXIDES, AMMONIUM
SALTS, INFLAMMABLES, ETC. PURING TRANSPORTATION IT SHOULD BE
