TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
Garbage Compactor is a municipal refuse Compactor, mounted on suitable chassis.
The compactor Body is designed as a converntional Rear Dump Unit mounted on to the
Vehicle.
The Body consists of the following assembly

Safety Features
1. Main Body or the Container :
 Constructed from high tensile steel 'One Piece' rolled side sheets and braced by front
and rear hoops, with pressed integral channels and 'keel' type floor.
 Fitted with under-floor sump to prevent liquid seepage and to allow clean discharge of
any liquid contend.
 The steel structure of the body is been designed to withstand heavy impact loads
during loading and carrying the garbage for more durability and longer life.
 Compactor container body spape has good aecthetics look with improved safety
features for compacting the garbage. The body is with compination of Ejector plate,
Hopper, Sweeper, Packer and bin lifters including skin bin lifter to lift 4.5 Cum bins
as well as 1100 Ltrs and 240 Ltrs standared bins.
2. Hopper :
 Optimized 2.4 m3 Swept volume capacity, resulting in fewer packing cycles, giving
the benefits of reduced wear , fuel consumption and noise.
 Full 1.9 m uncluttered loading width.
 Low rave rail height for manual loading and versatile bin-lift mounting. Bolt-on rave
rail adaptor binlifts.
 Sides and floor manufactured from high tensile abarasion resistant steel. substantial
pressed side plates from integrated channels to guide the packing machanism.
 Integral full height body/hopper seal fitted to prevent liquid leakage from bottom edge
and hopper sides.
 Reduced overhang for improved weight distribution and maneuverability.
3. Packing Machanism :
 Proven two-plate fabricated packer/sweeper design.
 Manufactured using high tensile abrasion resistant steel. Slides within hopper
channels on low friction self lubricating bearings.
 Heavy duty packer and sweeper cylinders.
 Nominal 23 Second cycle time.
4. Refuse Ejecton Barrier :
 Barrier face is manufactured from high tensile abrasion resistant steel, forming a
smooth and unobstructed discharge surface.
 Ertalon LFX bearings guide the barrier along rails within the body. The guides are
made of abrasion - Resistant plastic material. These guide don't require any
Lubrication and have durability for a long life in ideal working conditions.
 Multi-staged double acting hydraulic cylinder enables effcient ejection and retraction.
5. Hydraulic Operating System :
 The Hydraulic Circuit Mainly Consists of the following :








PTO mounted close-coupled standard pump delivers 88 Liters/minute.
Body Mounted Tank.
Full flow 10 micron return line filter controls contaminant levels.
Engine speed is maintained by pneumatic throttle control system when hydraulic
power consumption increases.
Separate 2 Spool electro-pneumatic operated valve contro all system functions.
Heavy duty inverted sweeping cylinders fitted with maintenance free spherical
bearing and integral proximity switches.
Heavy duty inverted packing cylinders mounted outside the hopper, clear of the
loading area.
Roof mounted hopper lift cylinders.
6. Electrical System :
 Fully integrated system logic.
 Fully water-proofed junction box allowing easy access for diagnostics and
maintenance.
 Colour coded wiring for easy identification , maintenance and fault finding.
 Weatherproof switch, plug and socked connectors.
 Circuit designed to enhance Health & Safety features, and installation of binlifts.
 The electrical system operates with 24 V battery of the vehicle and no additional
battery is required for operating the accessories like Beacon lamp, cab light and all the
electrical gadgets.
 An emergency push buttom is provided for stopping the compaction operation in the
event of any emergency.
 Beacom Ligh: A light Beacom is fitted on the top of the truck Cabin to highlight the
operation and visibility. This Beacon lamp is required to Warn the traffic flow while
loading and unloading operation is in progress.
 Working lamp : A working lamp is fitted inside the cabin to enable operation even in
poor lithing conditions.
7. Control Station :
 Compaction machanism control station is provided at the rear of the vehicle . This
control station is located at the rear side of the vehicle , outside the body so that the
person can supervise the whole operation while running the grabage compacting
cycles.
 External discharge control station is provided at the front of the body. This control
station is used to operate the ejection machanism and for lifting the tailgate.
