Ástund Winner Saddle: This is an Icelandic saddle, but it is excellent for any gaited
horse or to use for trail riding on any breed.
Description from Ástund: “This new
model was launched on our 25th anniversary. Winner is built on the same spring tree as
the Ástund Royal. An all purpose saddle for everyday riding, training and competition
with great comfort to the horse and rider. A close-contact flexible saddle that fits well
on the horse. Contrary to the Ástund Royal, the knee rolls are situated on the panels.
This gives the rider full support on the lower part of the thigh allowing the rider total
freedom to sense the sides of the horse for more control. Together with the comfort and
the softness of the seat this saddle gives good support and security. There is a long girth
strap at the very front of the saddle coming from underneath the knee rolls and two long
girth straps further back increasing the steadiness of the saddle. Ástund Winner has now
become one of the most popular saddles of the Ástund saddle family.” This saddle is in
excellent condition. It has been only lightly used and always well cared for. New, this
saddle currently goes for over $2,600 plus shipping from Iceland. We are asking $1,100
for this saddle which is an excellent value. For photos and more information see:
