Project idea
Practical training of teachers
We are thinking about now will be for teacher’s (VETPRO)
practical training (like apprentice or training in the work place).
It would be very good to have this training in real firms.
The duration of this training (mobility period) could be 2-4
weeks (it depends on the programme the partner can offer)
There will be 1-2 or 3 teachers in one visit.
The main aim of the project is to have possibilities to improve
qualification of vocational teachers in construction field.

Construction sector. We are planning to have four different
visits for those themes:
 Asbo-cement (for egz. slate) roofing and other. Asbocement material removal.
 Work with high – risk equipment; work (job) safety.
 Ventilated facades (fonts) installation.
 Rolled (linoleum, carpets, etc.) threshing-floor.

Mainstreaming educational games
Although computer and video games already exist for a
longer period, they got very popular again these days.
The problem in this context is that teachers are often not
aware of the fact that games are also developed for
educational purposes. Games have still a negative image,
especially by teachers and parents. The result is that
teachers don’t use games in their teaching practice,
although using (educational) games can increase learners’
motivation.
Opinions about gaming and their relevance for education
are varying a lot: will ICT and games become the fourth
basic skill after reading, writing and calculating or are games
just one more tool on the pedagogical shelf?
The central research question of this project is: how can
games be integrated in the teaching practice of teachers?

• developing teaching models for integrating games in
teaching and learning with ICT.
• offering possible learning strategies for the use of games.

Main aims
Tampere University of Technology (unit of Pori) has an
experience of many years as the academic trainer of the
security field. Our education is based on the operation
and know-how of the nationally wide network of the

Building a portfolio of skills for
candidates to mobility
Mobility is the participation of apprentices to
intercultural exchanges weeks and training periods in
companies by a partner in Europe. The portfolio will
reference skills that the apprentices will acquire in the
framework of experiences of mobility (professional,
intercultural, linguistic)

e-study object for social care workers
curricula
With other countries analyse and work out study
objects for social care workers curricula in order to
develop the trainees IT skills and to make their study
time more flexible and also to show possibilities of
other countries. The study object could be for general
competencies as for example to learn how to apply for
project funding, and one video film in domestic studies,
the possibilities of other countries and tools and
techniques. The idea is first of all learn more about the
social care workers curricula of other countries, and in
co-operation work out some study objects which could
be used internationally.

Main aims
The main aim is to find on-the-job learning
