WHAT IS ASIA’S DANCE FACTORY?
Asia’s Dance Factory provides choreography and dance consulting for dance studios, performing arts schools
and universities, artists, film and theater, after school programs and workshops, summer camps, and private
lessons for individuals with a passion for the arts. Asia’s inspiration is teaching you the steps so you will
model the footprints of other professional dancers
WHO IS ASIA DICKENS?
At age 9 Asia Dickens awakened with a passion for dance. She felt the beat and the beat felt her, and together
they would fall deeply in love as the rhythm of music bonded them as one.
Born and raised in Gary IN, Asia attended her first dance class at the local Boys and Girls Club. She later
auditioned for and was accepted at a prestigious performing arts school. While maintaining her academics,
Asia also worked diligently while providing choreography for Broadway Musical Sensation Chester Gregory.
Upon graduating from Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts, Asia continued her studies at the
Alvin Ailey School in New York. In 2006, Asia developed her craft and found her niche for choreography and
dance consulting while working with recording artist Stephani Parker and her traveling live stage show.
During 2008, Asia began working as a full time dance instructor and rehearsal director for the highly
acclaimed South Shore Dance Alliance, the same school where renowned dancer and former student Renaldo
Gardner (Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater) also trained.
Asia is especially proud of her television debut in 2009 as a Made (dance) Coach on an episode of MTV’s
MADE.
In 2011, Asia's Dance Factory was founded. Since its opening ADF has been a source of inspiration and
instruction for dancers both near and far. Through Asia's Dance Factory, Asia Dickens has provided
choreography for artist El DeBarge Jr., her students performed during a concert for the hit group Mindless
Behavior, & she continues to choreograph for countless dance competitions, studios, theatre, film, and after
school programs.
Asia completed 3 seasons with the NBA as a dancer for the six-time Champion Chicago Bulls, The Luvabulls.
Currently, she is the choreographer for West Side Theatre Guild, and continues to travel expanding Asia's
Dance Factory!

WHAT IS OUR CURRICULUM?
The Camp is for dancers of all experience levels, age’s 3-6yrs old. The curriculum focuses
on Hip Hop, Leaps/Turns, and Ballet. The camp features a special staff of trained
instructors that work closely with each student. There is a significant focus on technique
and moxie, characteristics of all successful dancers. The summer camp also features an
intriguing curriculum that emphasizes discipline, team work, leadership, and selfdevelopment.
Leaps and Turns
This is a fun high energy class that is equipped to enhance and improve your technique
when dealing with turns and jumps!
Hip Hop
Hip-hop dance refers to social or choreographed dance styles primarily danced to hip-hop
music. This class will explore different elements of choreography as well incorporating
other dance styles to give this hip hop class an edge!
Ballet
A classical dance form demanding grace and precision and employing formalized steps and
gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement!

I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to,

arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal
injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including
my traveling to and from this event, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: Asia’s Dance
Factory/ Asia Dickens and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents,
the activity or event holders, activity or event sponsors, activity or event volunteers;
I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned
in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity or
event, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise.

I understand participation in the above camp can be an extremely valuable experience for young people.
The students may be exposed to moving objects, stationary objects, various playing surfaces, and other
