Emphasis will be placed on various ethical theories and characteristics of moral principles especially societal and regional ethical issues which may if properly handled help improve the image of firms in the eyes of the public. This course is based on interdisciplinary approach to the ethical problems in the public and private sectors and includes topics as; business ethics, ethical theories and principles, the importance of ethics for business and implications of ethical theories and principles and practices of business ethics in firms. Instructor will also give some readings on the subjects. Instruction The major method of instruction will be the individual projects conducted by the students on any of the given topics below. The students’ progress in their projects will be evaluated by the instructor and some case studies and ethical dilemma scenarios will be given to the students in order to sensitize the students towards the concept of business ethics.
