NEW TUITION & FEE RATES
Beginning fall semester, tuition is $505 for Colorado residents and $555 for non-residents (US dollars). New rates
will be reflected on your tuition bills for fall courses.
Technology and semester fees are unchanged. A new policy related to retakes of courses was implemented
January 1, 2009. The new policy permits each student to request retake of one didactic course, under a “no
excuse, no penalty” provision. The first retake request requires payment of a modest retake fee (currently $125
per credit hour) and applicable fees. No tuition is charged. The second retake increases to $375 per credit hour
and applicable fees. No tuition is charged. Additional retakes require full repayment of tuition.
Credit-by-challenge fees are $750 per challenge beginning fall semester. Rotation fees are $250 per rotation.
Please remember that you will not receive a tuition bill in the mail. The University of Colorado has implemented
electronic billing and will no longer mail tuition bills to students; instead, they will be e-mailed to your UC Denver
e-mail address.
A full description of tuition and fees can be found on our website at:

DROP/ADD DEADLINE
The drop/add deadline for the fall semester is Friday, September 3 at 5 PM MDT. Note that no refund of
tuition is made if a course is dropped after the drop/add deadline.
Under certain circumstances, such as medical emergencies and bereavement, NTPD courses may be repeated
without full repayment of tuition. A retake fee applies. Please contact our office for more information. Any refunds
due will be processed by the Bursar’s Office.
DEADLINE FOR DIPLOMA APPLICATIONS
Do you anticipate completing your PharmD degree requirements by December 2010 or May 2011? You can start
preparing for graduation by completing a diploma application and making sure you have submitted any credit-bychallenge portfolios and have scheduled all final rotations by the appropriate deadlines.
The diploma application determines the name and date that will appear on your diploma and is required for all
graduating students. If you have not already done so, you must submit a diploma application to the
campus registrar as soon as possible if you plan to graduate in December 2010 (the deadline is August
6).
Diploma
applications
may
be
completed
online
at
http://ucdenver.edu/studentservices/resources/registrar/degrees/graduation/application/Pages/form.aspx. Not certain if you will be ready?
Please go ahead and submit a diploma card. It is easier to defer a request than to request a diploma after the
deadline. The deadline to complete a diploma application for May 2011 graduation is Friday, December 3.
For December 2010 graduation, all final rotations must be scheduled and all credit-by-challenge submissions
received by the NTPD office by October 1. After this date, late fees will apply for late credit-by-challenge
submissions. If you have questions about preparing for graduation, please contact Pam Duval at
Pamela.Duval@UCDenver.edu or 303-724-3582 #4.
STUDENT RECORDS PORTAL
The University of Colorado student records portal can be used to update your address, and to view course
schedules, transcripts, final grades, and registration status. The student records portal can be accessed at

If you have difficulty accessing the portal, please consult the self-service Web site at
http://www.ucdhsc.edu/admin/its/students/studentportal.htm. Continue to register for classes through the UCD
