Human activities often contribute to the degradation of water resources in populated areas.
Watershed managers have several tools for which to prevent, mitigate, and repair water resource
problems. In class, we discussed a variety of approaches to watershed management aimed at
reducing flooding, water contamination, and erosion/sedimentation in streams. For this question,
you will address these issues for watersheds in the Springfield area. Please formulate and
defend a management strategy to protect and/or restore stream health (i.e. improve water quality
and supply, sediment, biota)in Ozark streams. Your policy can only have 2 or 3 main thrusts since
you need to focus on key issues so that funds will flow toward the problem and not be shut down
