Ms. Strapponi advises the Board that the property owner recently contacted the office to
request a waiver from the 4 barrel thirty gallon limit. He advises the office that he has a
family of five and recycles on a regular basis. Ms. Strapponi states that she contacted
Rick, from Allied Waste, who picks up the trash curbside, and he advised her that the
property owner does not recycle. Mr. Walsh advises the Board that he will monitor the
property for recycling. Mr. Gremza motions to take this matter under advisement, second
Ms. Remillard. The vote is unanimous.
HIGHWAY DEPARTMETN DUMPSTER
Mr. Walsh advises the Board that as a cost saving measure he has removed the 10 yard
dumpster from the highway barn. The 8 yard dumpster will remain.
HAULER'S PERMIT 2009
Ms. Strapponi advises the Board that the following applicants have applied for a 2009
Hauler's Permit in the Town of Blackstone. Mr. Gremza advises that he has reviewed the
applications and that all the paperwork is in order. Mr. Gremza motions to grant a 2009
Hauler's Permit to: Tom Berkowitz Trucking, Inc., United Waste Management of New
England, LLC, Waste Management of Rhode Island, Casella Waste Services and
Marchand Septic, second Ms. Remillard. The vote is unanimous.
INSTALLER'S PERMITS
Ms. Strapponi advises the Board that the following applicants have applied for a 2009
Septic Installer's Permit in the Town of Blackstone. Mr. Gremza advises that he has
reviewed the applications and that all the paperwork is in order. Mr. Gremza motions to
grant a 2049 Septic Installer's Permit to: Giguere & Sons Excavating and Marchand
Septic, second Ms. Remillard. The vote is unanimous.
Mr. Gremza recuses himself from this application. Ms. Strapponi advises the Board that
the following applicant has applied for a 2009 Septic Installer's Permit in the Town of
Blackstone. Mr. Walsh advises that he has reviewed the application and that all the
paperwork is in order. Ms. Remillard motions to grant a 2009 Septic Installer's Permit
