This led to more rapid pain control than traditional approaches and our data were published in a peer-reviewed journal. 6 Peter Steinberg, M.D. Department. Standardized Pathway for High Risk Bladder Cancer In conjunction with medical oncology, urology and radiology, DHMC urology created an internal pathway to allow patients with high risk bladder cancer to have staging and treatment recommendations delivered within 2 weeks of contacting DHMC for an appointment. Standardized pathway and follow-up for nephrolithiasis From 2013 to the present, I have worked with my colleagues in the BIDMC ED to standardize the evaluation, management and subsequent follow-up of patients presenting to the ED with nephrolithiasis. Standardized pathway and follow-up for hematuria Beginning in the Fall of 2013, the BIDMC ED will roll out a clinical and follow up pathway to help standardize the management and follow-up of hematuria in the BIDMC ED.
