Whether he's touring with his group 'The Chris Hinze Combination' or with his Multi-Media
Solo concerts, one thing is for sure; music is central to the life of flautist, composer and
traveller Chris Hinze. For more than 25 years, Hinze has been making world music and
communicating musically with other cultures.
Fascinating combination of music and images
On his long journeys through Tibet, he has not only collected fantastic music – see his
successful CDs 'Tibet impressions 1, 2 & 3' or 'Chris Hinze and the Gyuto Monks Live on
Tour' – but also beautiful images. Fascinated by the monasteries, the monks and their
mantras, the Dalai Lama, the Karmapa or Lama Zopa and the people of Tibet, in 2006 he
performed his first Visual Concerts to sold-out venues in collaboration with the renowned
Berlin photographer and traveller Kai Uwe Küchler.

Now, in 2015, Chris Hinze returns with a completely new performance which includes the
beautiful video material collected during his last three journeys to Tibet.
'Tibet – on the Roof of the World' takes you to the unfamiliar and fascinating world of the
Tibetans, their monastic communities and their lives amidst the overwhelming surroundings
of the Tibetan landscape.
