Attendance Policy
The following information applies for all Faith Formation classes:
1. All students are expected to be in attendance for every class.
2. If your child will not be coming to Faith Formation, please call the Faith Formation (508885-3806 ext. 17) ASAP. If we do not hear from you before class time, we will attempt to call
you to be sure that your child is safe. Please note: the phone system is old and the message on
it cannot be changed. When the message begins, just press 17 to get to the Faith Formation
extension in the hall.
3. All work missed by students when they are absent is expected to be made up, at home by that
student with the help of the parents. If your child will need to miss several classes for any
reason, you are expected to take their work home and complete the chapters there until they
return to class. It is very difficult to make up classes for grades 6-8, which is why it is
imperative for your child to make it to each class.
4. Late arrivals and early dismissals are handled by the principals. The principal will bring tardy
children to class and retrieve children when leaving early. Parents should not go into the
classrooms.
Dismissal Policy
1. Sunday morning: All students whose classes are in the hall and rectory will be
dismissed from the HALL after classes. Students in the Parish Office Center may be
picked up outside that building as long as the parent meets them at the door (not waiting
in the car). Otherwise the students will be brought to the hall to be dismissed with the
other students.
2. Tuesday afternoon classes: ALL students will be dismissed from the hall, please come
into the hall to pick up your child.
3. Students in evening classes will be dismissed and can be picked up in the parking lot.
Extreme Caution should be used at all times in the parking lots. The smaller parking lot
beside the church is a one way lot, enter from Prospect St., and exit by Church St.
Cancellation Policy
The following applies for all Faith Formation classes:
Families should listen to the radio or TV stations for all cancellations:
Cancellations will be on channels 4, 5, & 7 and WTAG, WSRS.
All announcements will be listed as “Mary Queen of the Rosary, Spencer”
We strongly advise all families to register with the TV stations to get alerts on
your cell phones and /or through email, as our cancellations do not always
show on the TV on weekdays or for isolated incidents.
