Rancor (n.) deep, bitter resentment (When Eileen challenged me to a fight, I could see the
rancor in her eyes.)
ID pictures- Sanford studios will be on campus today, Tuesday, October 23rd during 5th and 6th
period for makeup ID pictures. We will be sending out call slips for students who have not had
their ID pictures taken. ~ Guidance office
Seniors: PTSA senior parents will be on campus today, Tuesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Oct. 25,
at lunch to collect money for Grad Nite.. Miss Rosso
"Attention Aztecs! There's still time for you and your friends to enter a dance routine in this
year's MKHS choreography show. Come to the last audition info meeting this Thursday at 3pm
in the dance studio. The 1st place routine will win $200, 2nd place will win $100, and 3rd place
will win $50! You can perform by yourself, with a group of friends, or with members of your
club. Winning student choreographers will also be given the chance to assist the professional
choreographer who will be creating the dance routines for the 2013 spring musical. This is your
chance to showcase your talent on stage while gaining valuable performance experience. Hope to
see you at the meeting this Thursday at 3pm in the dance studio! This is the last meeting. Don’t

CSF will have a general meeting on the front porch at lunch on Wednesday 10/ 24/12. See you

The Student Bank has now been permanently moved to the room in the A building (formerly
the Principal's Conference Room) between Guidance and the Principal's office. The bank is open
for business before school, during lunch and after school. Stop by and check out the MKHS
merchandise for sale. We have a variety of short and long sleeved T-shirts, polos, caps and
lanyards at bargain prices!
There will be a general meeting for Helping Hands, Thursday October 25 at lunch in room

SENIORS: Please check the "Potential Graduation List" outside of the Guidance Office to
check your name. This is how your name will be printed on your diploma. If there is an error or
your name is missing from the list, you must see Mrs. Robles as soon as possible. Deadline for
changes or to add on is Wednesday, October 31st.
Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores! Your class T-shirts are here! If you pre-ordered and
paid for a shirt come and pick it up at the Student Bank at lunch or after school. -C.

Aztecs: As you begin to buy your Halloween costumes, please remember costumes still need to
follow the guidelines of the dress code. This means masks or face paint are not allowed. Also,
the guidelines for the length and school appropriateness of the costume are still in place. If you
have any questions, please see Mr. Scanlan in Student Services.
REFLECTIONS is an annual National PTA contest promoting the ARTS among youth. The
categories you can compete in are literature, visual arts, musical composition, photography, film
production, & dance choreography. This year's theme is "THE MAGIC OF A MOMENT". Get
your application & guidelines from the guidance office. Turn in your entry to your teacher to put
into the PTSA mail box. Deadline is Friday, November 2nd at 3:00PM

THE DRAMA DEPARTMENT AND THEATRE COMPANY PRESENT: HOTEL
HELLman...this year's haunted auditorium. Plan to have the Halloween scare of your life and
attend our maze of horror. HOTEL HELLman is open for business on Thursday and Friday,
October 25 & 26, from 6 to 10 pm in our own Auditorium. HOTEL HELLman only costs $5.00
per person and there is always a vacancy!! -Ms. Phillips

Guidance Office for information about their application deadlines and selection process.
