REFEREE REPORTS

REFEREES WITH AN RGMS PROFILE

This Referee Report is to be completed by the Primary Supervisor and the Independent Referee

(each completes a separate form).

Each referee should complete the appropriate section(s) as indicated on the referee report form.

IMPORTANT NOTES



For

 pplicants

Applicants are responsible for the following:

Nominating appropriate referees and obtaining the required referee reports;

Notifying the referee of their correct referee type (Primary Supervisor or Independent

Referee); and

Ensuring the referee reports are submitted through RGMS by the nominated Referee prior to the closing date of the application round.



For

Primary

Supervisors

Primary Supervisors must ensure that their CV is uploaded with their completed referee report (as one PDF document).

For All Referees

All referee reports must be uploaded into RGMS no later than 5:00pm AEST on

Wednesday 25 June 2014.

Once a referee report has been submitted in RGMS, it is final, and no changes will be permitted.

Note that NHMRC staff will not chase outstanding referee reports.

Applicants must ensure that they submit a complete application (which includes the required referee reports).

Incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible and removed from further peer review.

Primary Supervisor for Project

:

The supervisor must attach an abbreviated (2 page) version of their CV to this report. The report and the CV should be combined into a single PDF document.

Naming convention to be used for this document:

[AppID]_[Applicant Family Name]_[ Referee] _[1]_[Referee Family Name] eg: 123456_Black _Referee_1_White

OR

Independent Referee:

The Independent Referee is to have had no substantive professional or private contact with the applicant. They must not have had any previous or current collaboration with the applicant’s recent or future supervisors, but should be knowledgeable in the applicant’s field of study.

The Independent Referee should not be at the applicant’s current institution.

Naming convention to be used for this document:

[AppID]_[Applicant Family Name]_[Referee]_[2]_[Referee Family Name] eg: 123456_Black _Referee_2_Green

HOW TO SUBMIT THE REFEREE REPORT

1.

Log into RGMS with your user name and password.

2.

From the RGMS Home Page select the ‘ Referee

’ tab.

3.

Select the ‘ Upload referee report’ link.

4.

Initiative – Select ‘ Postgraduate Scholarship

’ from the drop down menu.

5.

Round – Select ‘ 2014_Postgraduate Scholarships Funding commencing 2015

’.

6.

Application – Click on the binoculars and search for the relevant applicant for which you are providing a reference (searching by application ID number or surname).

7.

Click ‘ Add

’.

8.

Referee Report – Click on the browse button and upload your PDF.

9.

Click on ‘ Save ’.

Your report has now been uploaded and the applicant will receive an automated email confirming submission of your referee report.
