Measurement chart for armour Please take the measurements including the padding and clothing you will wear under your armour (tunic, chain mail, shoes, trousers et cetera). Not all measurements are relevant for all types of armour. It is recommended to ask someone else to take your measurements for you. Try to stand or sit straight but relaxed, unless asked to do otherwise. The measurement tape should not be drawn too tight. Measurement (cm) 1a Head circumference around the widest point of the forehead – measure the entire circumference. Please give the head circumference without additions or extra space (unless wearing a padded cap). 1b Head circumference around the nose. 1c Depth: distance from the forehead to the back of the head. 1d Depth: distance from the tip of the nose to the back of the head. 1e Height: distance from the chin to the top of the head. 1f Height: distance from the base of the neck (at the shoulder) to the top of the head. Yes / No 1g Distance from the chin to the central point between the eyes. 1h Distance from the central point between the eyes to the top of the head. 1i Width: distance between the temples. 1j Width: distance between the ears. 2a Do you have a strong neck muscle? 2b Neck circumference. 2c Shoulder length from base of the neck to the middle of the shoulder joint. 2d Upper arm length from middle of the shoulder joint to middle of elbow joint. 2e Lower arm length from middle of elbow joint to wrist. 2f Wrist circumference. 2g Circumference of lower arm at widest point. 2h Circumference of upper arm at widest point (with flexed biceps). 2i Distance from armpit to elbow bend. 2j Hand outline on a sheet of paper, with scale (e.g. with a ruler, or a scale of 5 cm). 3a Body height. 3b Distance between arm pit and upper hip bone (straight position). 3c Distance between arm pit and upper hip bone (bent position). 3d Circumference over the armpit. 3e Breast circumference including arms (breath in properly!). 3f Breast circumference excluding arms (breath in properly!). 3g Breast width: distance from armpit to armpit (breath in properly!). 3h Distance between front collar bones and navel. 3i Distance between front collar bones and waistline. 3j Back length: distance between lowest neck vertebra to waistline. 3k Back width: distance between shoulder joints. 3m Back width: distance from armpit to armpit. 3n Waist circumference. 3p Hip circumference. 4a Distance from hip bend to knee while seated. 4d Thigh circumference. 4f Knee circumference at bent leg. 4g Circumference above ankle (wearing shoes). 4h Height of the shoe’s toe cap. 4i Shoe height at the instep. 4j Shoe height at the ankle. 4k Shoe height at the heel.
