So far this year, we have served 350 pet owners, 1248 pets, 4637 pounds of dry pet food, and 1555
cans of pet food! We have enjoyed meeting several new volunteers during these distributions, and
appreciate everyone's role in helping to keep pets at home with their families! Our inventory levels on
dry dog food are getting low, so if you would like to make a donation, please consider dry food for the
pooches! (No Beneful items, please.)
Sunny days ahead for Sunny the dachshund!
Back in January, we learned that one of our pantry pets, Sunny, had hurt his back, lost mobility in his
rear legs and was dragging them to get around. We shared his story on Facebook, and within a day,
we received a donated doggie wheelchair! Sunny's mom was elated, and Sunny acclimated to his
new wheels very quickly. After a few weeks, Sunny started to regain his mobility! He is now able to
get around on his own and no longer needs his wheels!
Volunteer Appreciation Meeting!
What: Volunteer Appreciation Meeting
When: Tuesday March 24 at 6:30pm
Where: H.O.P.E. for Animals Clinic at 1333 Maycrest Dr. off Lake Ave.
Why: To recognize and appreciate our AWESOME volunteers! We will also be sharing some new
opportunities to volunteer in 2015! Everyone is welcome, whether you have volunteered with us
before or would like to learn how you can get involved! Hope to see you there!
