Miss Montana Princess The Miss Montana Princess Program is for young ladies age 6 (six) through 9 (nine) by June 1st of the program year. The purpose of the program is to mentor those young ladies who have an interest in someday competing in the Miss Montana Scholarship Program and promoting community service. Princesses do not compete for a title, but will participate in some aspect of the stage production numbers. Princess requirements: Must attend all events required during program week Be attentive, possess listening skills, capable of following directions on stage and off Enjoy being on stage and in public Be age appropriate in actions and attire Understand that it is an honor and privilege to serve as a Princess of the Miss Montana Scholarship Program Additional requirements: Princesses will need to have one plain colored party dress (either knee or ballerina length, but not floor length) white shoes, closed toe is preferred, no heels as the floor is slick, no athletic shoes or acrylic junior heels, and white anklets (wearing of pantyhose is discouraged). Gloves and purses will not be allowed on stage. Jewelry should be kept simplistic; pierced (stud or button style) earrings are permissible. Capes and hoop skirts are discouraged. Princesses may not wear any head adornments other than simplistic barrettes. Princesses must be able to follow directions. They must be able to interact nicely with each other and their adult helpers and be respectful of others at all times. It is anticipated that the Princesses will refrain from crawling, mauling and acting disorderly around each other and the program contestants. The Princesses will have their own dressing room and bathroom facilities for the program. They may not leave the group or enter any other room without supervision from the director or designated helper. Princesses must not enter the stage at any time other than the time they are designated to perform. Princesses must be present for all activities as set on the agenda. Only the director can approve any absences. A parent/guardian will be required to sign their Princess in at the beginning of required events and sign them out at the end of required events. A Princess will not be allowed to leave with someone other than those listed on the registration and/or release forms. Parents/family members of Princesses are not allowed backstage at any time! Princesses must come fully dressed and prepared for each event. The only time photos are allowed to be taken by family is during the first meeting with the contestant. Photos are NOT allowed to be taken during the performances. No one is permitted backstage at any time, except Security, Stage Personnel and Pageant Officials. No one may enter to the Princess area at any time, except authorized personnel. 2. All problems or complaints should be reported to the Miss Montana Scholarship Program Princess Director immediately. Regardless of how small or large a complaint, please report it. A PROBLEM CANNOT BE SOLVED IF NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT IT EXCEPT THE PRINCESS. 3. Any Princess whose conduct is deemed unbecoming by the Miss Montana Scholarship Program Board will be asked to withdraw from the Princess program. 4. All Princesses must be checked in and out with the Miss Montana Scholarship Program Princess Director, or her designee, for every mandatory appearance. 5. All Princesses must be picked up immediately after each appearance. If a Princess is not picked up immediately after each appearance, appropriate authorities may be called. 6. Transportation, Housing and Meals – You must provide your own transportation, housing and meals while participating in the Miss Montana Scholarship Program Princess Program. 7. The application fee covers ONE ticket for each night of the competition for a parent/guardian as well as ONE adult ticket to the Royal-Tea. All other family members and friends of the Princess must purchase tickets. I understand that the adult ticket and the Princess badge MUST be shown to enter building, or additional tickets must be purchased to enter. As the parent/guardian of a Miss Montana Scholarship Program Princess participant, I acknowledge this application for my daughter to participate in the Miss Montana Scholarship Program Princess Program, with production rehearsals, preliminary competitions and final show for the 2014 program as well as other scheduled events. The Miss Montana Scholarship Program Princess hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Miss Montana Scholarship Program, the Miss Montana Organization, all Program/Board Directors and volunteers and any other entities which might be construed as liable from and against any and all claims for personal injuries, death, damages, cost and/or other expenses including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from or in any way connected with the use of the facilities for this program. Princesses are to come fully dressed/prepared for each and every appearance. Princesses will be brought to the doors to be released to parents. ABSOLUTELY NO CAMERAS/VIDEO CAMERAS allowed during performances. Rehearsals are CLOSED – parents/guardians/general public are NOT allowed in rehearsals. 8
