Daily Announcements for April 25th, 2013 Happening Today Mr. Boler will be in the commons today during lunch to collect money for the Senior Pic-Nic. Ashley Kinsey’s Senior Project will consist of raising money for our EC Program at RCHS. She will have a fair in the commons during lunch today through next Thursday. Any spare change or money that you may will be a big help. Prom Breakfast Tickets are on sale today during lunch. The cost is $2.00 a person or $3.00 a couple. What a bargain. Shai Williams is selling raffle tickets for Caleb’s Squad for her senior project. The cost is $1.00 per ticket. See Shai to purchase your ticket. This Week’s Events The Eden Lions Club Scholarship is due at 9:00am on Friday to Ms. Wallin. If you attended Bethany Elementary School and now attend RCHS there is a scholarship for you. The requirements are: you plan to attend either a community college or four year university in the fall, your gpa is 3.2 or higher, and your SAT is 1000 or higher. See Ms. Wallin for an application. Applications are due April 26th. The HOPE Club will be holding a Bunny Bowl on April 25th after school. See Ms. Barrier for more information. FCA will meet Thursday at 7:30. App State College Tour Permission slips are available for juniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher. The trip is now open to sophomores with a GPA of 3.7 or higher. The trip has been rescheduled for April 30th. See Ms. Wallin or your guidance counselor. Permission slips are due Friday the 26th. The Cougar Clause will be selling Last Will and Testaments to seniors during lunch. Testaments are due to a staff member or Mrs. Wilson no later than April 23rd. The cost to have your’s published in the last edition of the Cougar Clause is fifty cents. What a bargain. Juniors and Seniors: today is the last day to purchase prom tickets before and after school. Tickets will not be sold after today. Cash only! No tickets will be sold during the school day. The tickets are $20 for seniors and $30 for everyone else. Attention all ROTC Cadets: Military Ball tickets are on sale during lunch. The price will is now $10. The ball is May 4th. School News Students going on the ASU trip should make sure to email or tell Ms. Walling that yo still plan on attending next Tuesday by April 30th. NHS Members: remember to turn in your 2 can food items to Mrs. Johnson for our April Service Project. A very important reminder….All service hours must be turned in by May 3rd. Health Science II Students are reminded to turn in your applications for Nursing Fundamentals to Mrs. Harris as soon as possible. Anyone interested in life guarding or teaching swim lessons this summer at RCHS should submit an application to Coach Peck by May 1st. Applications will be available in the front office. You must have current lifeguard and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications. If you have questions, please email Coach Peck. During the months of April the media center will have a Creative Corner to show off the creativity of RCHS Students. Drop off your drawings or poems in the media center before Spring Break in order for them to be displayed. Students, the following bathrooms should be open during lunch; Men’s and Women’s bathrooms math, science, and business halls. Check with a nearby teacher to let you in if they are locked. Sophomores and juniors should check Canvas for info about UNC Charlotte summer camps for all types of majors from motor sports to art. Stop by the media center and check out all the new books.
