Why was farming such a revolution? What changes did it bring about?
People lived in bigger communities because there was more food to go
around.
People grew crops that could be stored for the winter.
People didn’t have to follow the animals around. The crops and the
domesticated animals created a steady food supply for the people.
Diseases passed around easily because people lived so close to each other.
Paleolithic: Paleo = old Lithic = stone OLD STONE AGE
Neolithic: Neo = new Lithic = stone NEW STONE AGE
In the Paleolithic age, people hunted for their food. The Neolithic age,
people farmed and domesticated animals.
In the Paleolithic age, people wandered from place to place gathering food,
and hunting animals.
Paleolithic people were the first tool making people.
During Paleolithic times often people took shelter in caves.
Neolithic settlements settled in the Fertile crescent.
In the Neolithic age people built towns in the Fertile crescent.
During the Neolithic age people learned how to make tools from metal as
opposed to stone.
Because there was a steady food supply people could build permanent
shelter and build larger communities.
Neolithic settlements were in the Fertile Crescent because the soil was rich
for growing crops.
