Series Educational Objectives After completing this activity, participants should be able to: Improve skills in addressing the comprehensive needs of the veteran receiving hospice and palliative care Increase comfort in caring for patients and families that express spiritual and/or sexual issues related to their care needs Practice a team based approach to providing complex patient centered palliative care and hospice care Session Educational Objectives After completing this activity, participants should be able to: 1. Summarize current indications, use, and outcomes of Ventricular Assist Device support in the pediatric population. 2. Describe the use of mechanical support in patients with neurodegenerative disease.
