Section XV BASIC METALS AND PRODUCTS OF BASIC METAL Group 75 Nickel and products of nickel Note: 1. The terms used in this group have the following meaning: a) Bars - rolled, pressed, drawn or forged products, not wound into coils and with stable cross section all along the whole length in the form of circles, ellipses, rectangles (including squares), equiangular triangles or well-formed convex polygon (including "flattened circles" and "altered rectangles", in which two opposite sides are convex bows, while the other two are straight, equal in length and parallel to each other). The products with rectangular (including square), triangular or multangular cross section may have angles, rounded all along the length of the product. The thickness of such products, with rectangular (including "altered rectangular") cross section, exceeds 0,1 of their width. Such term is also applied to cast or sintered products of the same forms and sizes, treated after production (in addition to cutting of edges and removal of scale), provided that during such treatment they have not acquired the features specific to the products of other commodity items b) Shapes - rolled, extruded, drawn, forged or formed products, wound or not wound into coils and with continuous cross section and falling under the definition of bars, wire, plates, sheets, bands or tape, foil, piping or tubing. This term is also referred to cast or sintered products of the same form, treated after production (apart from cutting of edges and removal of scale), provided that during such treatment they have not acquired the features specific to the products of other commodity items. c) Wire - rolled, extruded or drawn products in coils and with continuous all along the length cross ection in the form of circles, ellipses, rectangles (including squares), equiangular triangles or well-formed convex polygons ((including "flattened circles" and "altered rectangles", in which two opposite sides are convex bows, while the other two are straight, equal in length and parallel to each other). The products with rectangular (including square), triangular or multangular cross section may have angles, rounded all along the length of the product. The thickness of such products, with rectangular (including "altered rectangular") cross section, exceeds 0,1 of their width. d) Plates, sheets, bands or tape and foil are flat products (except for not treated products, included in commodity item 7502), wound or not wound in coils and with continuous rectangular (except for square) cross section, with rounded or not rounded angles (including "altered rectangles", in which two opposite sides are convex bows, while the other two are straight, equal in length and parallel to each other), with constant thickness, with: - rectangular (including square) form with thickness, not exceeding 0,1 of width; - form, different from rectangular or square, of any size provided, that they have not acquired specific features for the products included in other commodity items. Commodity items 7506 include, inter alia, plates, sheets, bands or tape and foil, with uneven surface (e.g., furrows, bulges, squares, ellipses), as well as products, perforated, corrugated, polished or with coating, provided, that they have not acquired specific features for the products included in other commodity items e) Pipes and tubes – hollow products, wound or not wound in coils and with constant cross section only with one closed cavity along the whole length of product in the form of circles, ellipses, rectangles (including squares), equiangular triangles or well-formed polygons and with constant thickness of wall. The products with the cross section in the form of rectangle (including square), equiangular triangle or well-formed polygon with rounded angles all along the length are top be referred to pipes and tubes, provided that their inner and outer cross sections are concentric and have the same form and orientation. Pipes and tubes, which have the above described cross sections, may be polished, may have coating, be bended, threaded, drilled, necked down, expanded, tapered or have flanges, cup type seal or rings on their edges. Note to sub-items: 1. The terms used in this group have the following meaning: а) Non-alloy nickel, the metal with total content of nickel and cobalt not less than 99 weight fr.%, provided that: i) cobalt content is not more than 1,5 weight fr.%; or ii) content of any other elements does not exceed the limits specified in the Table below: Chemical element Limit content, weight fr.% Fe Iron 0,5 O Oxygen 0,4 Other chemical elements (for each of them) 0,3 b) Nickel alloys are metallic alloys, in which nickel content in weight exceeds content of weight of any of elements, provided that: i) cobalt content is more than 1,5 weight fr.%; ii) content in weight, of at least one of other elements should be greater, than the limit value indicated in the Table; or iii) total content of elements, except for nickel and cobalt, is more than 1 weight fr.%. 2. Irrespective of the provisions of Note 1c to this group, the term “wire” within sub-item 7508 10 means only those products, wound or not wound in coils, and with any form of cross section, the size of which does not exceed 6 mm.
