Position Description Associate Consultant – Branch Office Development Position Overview The primary responsibility for this position is to assist Branch Office Development recruiters with recruiting qualified representatives to join Securities America. Additional responsibilities include maintaining sales and marketing databases; explaining SAI products, technology, and services; and ensuring timely follow-up and completion of paperwork. Position Requirements Two years previous experience in the securities industry Series 7 and 24 securities industry licenses preferred Ability to communicate with co-workers, prospects, representatives, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow-up with prospective Securities America reps in a timely manner Ability to persuasively present the benefits of Securities America and explain products, technology, and services Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines Ability to work flexible hours (may require evening and weekends) Ability to be at work on a regular basis and predictable basis Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Filenet, Remedy, MIPS, SalesLogix and Compliance Max Knowledge of FINRA and SEC rules and regulations Knowledge of SAI products and services Knowledge of the independent broker-dealer market Knowledge of the securities industry practices, procedures, and terminology Skill in networking with existing and prospective Securities America reps and product wholesalers Skill in operating personal computer and various software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.) Skill in utilizing information in a database Position Duties/Tasks This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following: 1. Maintain sales and marketing databases (SalesLogix, MIPS, and Remedy) by performing basic programming, importing/exporting data, entering information, running reports, and tracking follow-up communications for recruiters. 02/12/16 2003 Consulting Associate 2. Assist recruiters with recruiting representatives to SAI by qualifying prospects based upon needs analysis questionnaire and setting up initial informational appointments. This includes making outbound prospecting calls on a regular basis. 3. Answer telephone, email, and web-site inquiries from prospective reps and utilize consultative sales techniques to recruit business. 4. Provide administrative support to recruiters including preparing and mailing correspondence and recruitment kits, performing background checks, obtaining credit reports and CRD history, scheduling appointments, and making travel arrangements as directed. 5. Act as a liaison between the recruit, Compliance, and other Home Office departments ensuring timely follow-up and completion of paperwork when directed to do so by the Branch Office Consultant. 6. Partner with recruiters to prepare and deliver formal business presentations to qualified prospective representatives highlighting SAI products, technology, and service. 7. Ensure timely and accurate internal communications of prospective rep approval to Branch Office recruiters and appropriate Company Managers. 8. Participate in scheduled staff meetings. 9. Attend various trade shows, conferences, and seminars as requested. 10. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and developments. 11. Coordinate home office visits which may include but is not limited to, scheduling flights, hotels, car services and sending meeting requests to the necessary presenters. 12.
