Norway. Satellite remote sensing of terrestrial surfaces and the atmosphere chiefly in
the optical domain. Extraction of physical radiative properties using radiative transfer
modeling. Surface identification. Improvement of AVHRR processing chains to produce
data more suitable for quantitative and directional analysis. Participated in the writing of
funded proposals. Visiting PhD student at EC Joint Research Centre, Ispra, Italy, May
