 those that end with .org are your best bet for legitimate information
• ANY information collected & used in your project –

You must answer the following questions & have them displayed on the presentation board:
• Where the ecosystem is typically found?
o Coastal, Open Ocean or Deep Sea
o Pelagic environment or benthic environment
o Where in the World (specific locations)
o be sure you have pictures of examples in your poster
• Describe the typical abiotic characteristics of the ecosystem
o Light, salinity, temperature, pressure, nutrients
• What are the major primary producers?
o Do they use photosynthesis or chemosynthesis? (be sure you have pictures of
examples in your poster)
• What are some typical animals within this system? (be sure you have pictures of
examples in your poster)
• Describe a typical food chain or web that exists in this ecosystem? (be sure you have
pictures of examples in your poster)
• How is this ecosystem used by humans?
• How do humans affect this ecosystem?
• What can humans do to protect this ecosystem?
