Ray Hill donation – Marquis advertisement for “The Outlaw Ray Hill” show
David Szynal donation – “Talking Heads” done in 1991 by Norman Umstead, Houston artist.
Robert Yale donation – Worn in 1992 or 1993, Miss Camp America Pageant as one of the top nine, Miss
Iowa. Robert, aka Tinsi Faye, passed away on August 24, 2000. Pictures provided by Jamie Carter.
John Garish donation – black pillar holding Tinsi Faye headpiece.
Paul Pruitt temporary loan – Worn only twice, the first time in the Mother of Montrose contest and the
second during another fundraiser. Paul, aka Rosy Cheeks, won the contest. Picture provided by Judy

Bill O’Rourke temporary loan – Dress made by Lester Pace, aka Lisa Lawrence in the green and gold
colours of the campaigns for Emperor of RSICSS. Since Lisa’s death in October of ‘93<?>, Fancy PaceLawrence wears the dress and dedicates “Hello, Young Lovers” [from The King and I]. It was also worn in
the variety benefit Fancy organized for GCAM at the Briar Patch.
Ben H. Caruthers estate permanent loan – wall table for guest book. [Ben was Judy Reeves’ step-father.]
Rick Hurt permanent loan – Dress ‘handed down’ by Percy Brooks, aka Mother Brooks, who was a
member of the Royal Sovereign and Imperial Court of the Single Star, wore this dress to perform in places
such as the Exile, the Pink Elephant, Outlaws and Cousins. Shoes on temporary loan from Bruce Reeves.
Wig on temporary loan from Rainbo de Klown.

David Szynal donation – “Crucifixion” 1992 by Mark Coyle, Houston artist. The ‘model’ was Mark Coyle’s
lover who is now deceased. This pastel was commissioned in the 1980’s for “Art for AIDS;” was hung at the
Ripcord then hung at the Venture Inn for a period of time.
Rick Hurt temporary loan – Character clown Mickey in de Martini, created by Rick Hurt aka Rainbo de
Klown. The costume is an illusion because Rainbo walks in this martini glass, his legs are the real stem.

Judy Reeves permanent loan – Partial headpiece worn in Krewe of Olympus—Texas, Inc. Masque Ball.
Only partially feathered here, with cloud illusion removed, ‘crystals’ lit up on blacked-out stage at

Wend Bennett donation – Partial costume worn in 2000 Krewe of Olympus—Texas, Inc. Masque Ball. The
“Borg.” Headpiece contained small laser beam on stage at performance. Surrounding ‘table pieces’ donated
by Bruce and Judy Reeves.
Bruce Reeves permanent loan – Partial costume worn in Krewe of Olympus—Texas, Inc. Masque Ball.
Headpiece included complete ‘ring of fire.’ Note that on performance ALL arms appeared in motion as he

Judy Reeves permanent loan – Costume worn in Krewe of Olympus—Texas, Inc. Masque Ball. Different
feathers used here, headpiece [received damaged as is] ‘windows’ lit up on performance blacked-out stage.
‘Torch’ lit up on blacked-out stage and contained small fan, causing ‘flame’ to ripple and glow. Pictures

Patrick Vachon donation – Tux worn at coronation for Krewe of Apollo Texas. Patrick was crowned King I.
Naomi Sims was crowned Queen I. Bow tie seen on smaller costume worn with tux. In addition to the tie,
smaller costume worn with the tux jacket during performance as magician in fundraisers during reign.

Troy Vuillemot donation – Lion King head was actually back piece worn in Krewe of Olympus—Texas, Inc.
Masque Ball. Surrounded by feathers of same colours in lion’s face on performance.

Brooks perform in sequined dress [see other room this exhibit]. Jacket and collar hand decorated by Rainbo

Erotica Room, Robert Briddick donation -- Original sketches by R. A. Schultz [spelling in magazine],
picture used on page 36, signed 'Ray.' Lombardi by Robert Ralph [local writer, pseudonym]. Mandate FDC
58420 October 1986 page 37, name unchanged. Includes letter from Raymond Schulze dated September
18, 1986. Includes letter from Freeman Gunter, Editor-in-Chief of Mandate, Honcho, Playguy, dated
February 11, 1986 and includes short handwritten comment.
Erotica Room, Wend Bennett donation -- Dress worn in Krewe of Olympus—Texas, Inc. Masque Ball as
Little Red Riding Hood.
Jack Adams aka Jackie Thorne donation – Dress belonged to Lady Victoria Lust (aka Marvin Davis). Was
one he used in performances, in order to raise funds for the Houston GLBT community, in his capacity as
Empress VII of the Royal, Sovereign and Imperial Court of the Single Star, as well as founder of the
Lady Victoria Lust Holiday Fund (which later became the current PWA Holiday Charities). Victoria believed
in "camp drag" and thus most of the numbers he did and outfits he wore were purposely "over the top." Hat
on temporary loan from Bruce Reeves.
Bill O’Rourke permanent loan – Dress owned and hand rhinestoned by Mother Brooks, aka Marvin Davis
aka Our Miss Brooks, first Queen Mother for Life of RSICSS. Passed through many hands and was finally
purchased by Lester Pace aka Lisa Lawrence then passed down to Bill aka Fancy Pace Lawrence. Wig on
temporary loan from Bruce Reeves.
Wend Bennett donation – Costume “Barbie” worn in Krewe of Olympus—Texas, Inc. Masque Ball.

Trophy case permanent loan -- Houston Area Bears’ trophy case containing memorabilia from the
organization. Includes crown worn by Anita Mann during her RSICSS reign. Set up and maintained by the

Shadowbox Don Gill donation – Filled with memorabilia of Lady Victoria Lust [Marvin Davis], shadowbox
and most of the contents were donated during a fundraiser put on by Don Gill Productions and Bob Bouton.
Sash and heart pillow donated by Rick Hurt at a later time.
Vest Don Gill donation -- Cal Moran's Mr. Prime Choice vest presented to GCAM by Don during the 2000
Mr. Prime Choice contest.
