His expertise includes the development and deployment of nanotechnology, superconductors, electrode materials and catalysts for energy storage systems, transmission and distribution systems, generation equipment and power electronics. He has broad knowledge in fabrication of novel materials structures utilizing pulsed laser deposition, sputtering, evaporation, composite processing, electroplating and sol-gel processing. These have been utilized for fabricating Intelligent Fuel Cells, Advanced Power Electronic Devices, Supercapacitor Devices and Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage Systems.
