Jabez Nye's origins have not been confirmed, but I theorize that he and Mary Fuller were both from the Plympton area.
More work needs to be done to prove this. Jabez took some part in town affairs in Wareham, being Hog Reeve from 17781789, and Warden in 1779. He bought land near his home in Wareham from Jabez Burgess in 1778, and sold land to his son
Benjamin in 1809.
