In the section "Technical specification and
technical offer" for the item number 1.1 requested
Ion source is "noncoated inert EI source".
EI source is the part of GCMS which should be
inert and that is the main characteristics of ion
source. Noncoated is description which lead to one
manufacturer and it should be removed. Please,
provide us with technical specification without
trademark of specific manufacturers.
In the section "Technical specification and
technical offer" for the item number 1.1 adjustable
Ionization energy in the range 5-240eV has been
requested.
Ionization energy which is in common use for
almost all application is in range of 60-l50eV.
It is known that electrons with energy lower than
10eV have difficulties to ionizing. When it is
needed CI (Chemical ionization) mode is used for
this soft ionization. It is not needed to have this low
range below 10eV. Please, provide us with
technical specification with energy range above
10eV.

In the section "Technical specification and
technical offer" for the item number 1.1 has been
requested "Ionization current 0-3I5 uAmp".
Ionization current is trademark of every
manufacturer, it depends from model. This range
is not applicable in work. Nobody will use 0uA for
any kind of analysis it is not applicable. Also, in
technical specification for every instrument it is
shown what is the best current range for that
model. That is the reason way you have technical
specification for every model and that's why you
have instrument qualification after installation with
service engineers to show you how to use this
model and how to make its best performance.
Please, provide us with technical specification for
ionization current that is in range of 5-250uA and
more.
In the section "Technical specification and
technical offer" for the item number 1.1 requested
Quadrupole temperature is up to 200ºC?
As we describe above in previous question, every
technical specification is different for every
manufacturer and it is trademark for every model.
That's why Agilent heat quadruple and Shimadzu
does not. Both have the best performance but
different technical solution. With this constraint of
specification it is for you to decide with solution
you like best but we would appreciate if you
consider different technical construction of Agilent
since sensitivity and versatility is the same even
better. Please provide us to participate with
different technical solution of requested since there
is no leak of sensitivity and versatility (without
heating quadruple).
In the section "Technical specification and
technical offer" for the item number 2.2, has been
requested "full control of all CC and ALS
parameters”.
ALS is short name for Automatic Liquid Sampler
and it is Agilent trademark and shortcut. Since it is
not applicable for anyone else but Agilent, please
provide us with technical specification without this
particular short name.

GCMS analysis of complex matrix require
heated ion path (from ion source to the
detector) in order to reduce
contaminations and instrument down time,
to improve sensitivity and repeatability.
Instrument with independently heated ion
source and
mass filter have possibility of thermal
cleaning, which reduce instrument down
time and increase instrument lifetime.

"ALS" is abbreviation for Automatic Liquid
Sampler. Software for instrument control
must control parameters of GC and
Automatic Liquid Sampler. It is not a
trademark of any manufacturer. Every device
capable of injecting liquid sample into gas
chromatograph can be considered as ALS.

Same is valid for abbreviations GC (gas
chromatograph), MS (mass spectrometer) or
MSD (mass spectrometric detector) or SQ
(single quadrupole).
Full controll of all components of the
instrument by software is requested,
including "ALS".
