SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Geologist focused on oil exploration activities, new ventures and development of oil reserves.
Experience on prospect generation, based on the geological and geophysical data. Moreover, hands on experience on operational geology, drilling follow-up, making quick look petrophysical evaluation and taking decisions while the operation. In the same way, experience on generation of statics models and
STOOIP calculation.
On the other hand, in the New Ventures opportunities, I have been working on the evaluation of new blocks through seismic interpretation and well correlation-analysis, especially in complex structural styles.
In the development of oil reserves, I have proposed and follow-up of appraisal and development wells, updating the static model with the new results. In the same way, I have been generated and coordinated the full field development plans for the field.
I consider that I am exceptional worker with strong team work, communication capabilities and presentation skills. Additionally, I have logical and capable of complex analytical thinking with extremely hardworking.
Currently, I am taken the Master in Petroleum Geosciences Engineering at University of Stavanger. The objective of my research project is to identify the structural traps types related to the Yopal – Borde llanero frontal fault system in the Eastern Foothills of the Eastern Cordillera of Colombia.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
EMERALD ENERGY, a company of SINOCHEM GROUP. May-2011 – August 2013
Position:
Direct supervisor: V.P. Juan Carlos Ramon
Exploration geologist
(+57 1 6513500)
I am responsible of the technical work for hydrocarbon exploration at Maranta Block (Putumayo Basin) and Fortuna Block (Middle Magdalena Valley Basin). Moreover, I am in charge of the developments works related with the exploitation of oil reserves at Mirto and Totumal fields, which are located into the these blocks.
Additionally, I have participated in New Ventures, through the evaluation of hydrocarbon potential on the
Colombian Round 2012 and Farm-in with other companies. Finally, I was designated as Project Manager of Maranta Block.
In the Maranta Block, I was in front of the generation, drilling and evaluation of the Agapanto prospect where Emerald Energy found oil in “U” Sandstone and has good potential in “N”
Sandstone reservoirs (Currently in extended test).
In the Fortuna Block, looking for new opportunities into the Totumal field, I defined an opportunity below the Totumal field. In this case, Emerald found oil in Simiti Fm. (Currently in extended test).

March – April 2011
Exploration geologist
(+57 310 289 1739)
Seismic interpretation, well analysis and correlation, focus on the hydrocarbon prospectivity assessment of the Panamá Gulf Basin.
In this evaluation, I identified the structural style in the zone and their tectono-sedimentary relationship in this basin.
HOCOL S.A.
Position:
October 2008 – February 2011
Direct Supervisor: Andres Fajardo - José Arturo Jaramillo
Exploration geologist
(+57 1 488 4000)
Operational geologist in charge of the follow-up and update of the structural model of Huron-1 well.
Additionally, I participated in the planning of appraisal wells and the activities related with seismic acquisition, processing, interpretation and reserves evaluation in Niscota Block.
I supported the exploration in the Tangara Block, through well correlation and seismic interpretation.
On the other hand, I was supporting the contractual administrative work while the development of the
Niscota contract.
I generated a static model for two structural sheets of Huron field, into the Eastern Foothills of
Eastern Cordillera.
I did a depth conversion of the structural maps through pseudo-wells, which allow us define the geometry of the structures
In the seismic acquisition, I designed a procedure model for these activities in the company.
HOCOL S.A.
Position:
February 2008 – October 2008
Technical Assistant (Contractor)
Direct Supervisor: José Arturo Jaramillo- Vicky Velez ( +57 1 488 4000)
The first month, I did the edition, compilation and print of the annual technical of all exploration blocks of Hocol. Based on my work and responsibility, I was promoted to Technical Assistant of Huron-1 well.
The other seven months, I was working in the pre-operational and operational work of Huron-1 well. At that moment, this well was the most important because its depth (18000ft) and structural complexity
(foothills area). While the operation, I was contracted as direct employ of Hocol since October 2008.

As consultant geologist, I did the palaeo-geographic evaluation and boundary delimitation of five wetlands and Bogota River, into the limits of the Bogotá D.C. This work was based on the multi-decade photogeological evaluation, geo-reference and sedimentary core analysis of the quaternary sediments.
This work defined new wetland areas to be introduced into the protected areas of Bogotá
The project was developed through my English studies at Boston, USA. Therefore, I coordinate the field work, made the geomorphological evaluation and sent reports from there.

In this governmental company, I evaluate the geological risk associated with the illegal exploitation of sands and gravel in the Tunjuelo River and Limas Creek. This work was carrying on through field geological mapping, geomorphological evaluation, and geological hazards mapping and risk assessment.
Universidad Nacional de Colombia March 2003 – April 2005
Research Geologist & Field Coordinator
Supervisors: Norberto Parra PhD. & Orlando Rangel Ph.D. (+57 1 316 5000)
This multi-disciplinary project was an extension of my thesis. Therefore, based n my experience I was the chief of the geology group and the field Coordinator for the whole project. In this research I had to work in a close relationship with biologist, archeologist and physics.
