SOME:
We use SOME in positive sentences. You can use it with countable and uncountable plural nouns. Some in Catalan is alguns/algunes.
EXAMPLES:
I’ve got some biscuits in my bag. (countable)
There’s some milk in the fridge. (uncountable)
ANY:
We use ANY in negative and interrogative sentences. You can use it with countable and uncountable plural nouns. Any in Catalan is cap/gens/alguns/algunes(pregunta).
EXAMPLES:
I haven’t got any biscuits in my bag. (countable) (negative)
There isn’t any milk in the fridge. (uncountable) (negative)
Have you got any pets ? (countable) (interrogative)
Is there any milk on the table? (uncountable) (interrogative)
A/AN
We use A/AN in positive, negative and interrogative sentences. You can use it with countable singular nouns. A/AN in Catalan is un/una.
We use A when the next noun starts with consonant.
We use AN when the next noun starts with a vowel.

She’s got an orange in his bag.
I haven’t got a dog

A LOT OF
We use A LOT OF in positive sentences. You can use it with countable and uncountable plural nouns. A lot of in Catalan is molts/molt.
EXAMPLES:
My mum has got a lot of hobbies.
There is a lot of rice.
NOT MUCH
We use NOT MUCH in NEGATIVE sentences. You can use it with uncountable plural nouns. Not much in Catalan is no gaire.
EXAMPLE:
I haven’t got much money
NOT MANY
We use NOT MANY in negative sentences. You can use it with countable plural nouns. Not many in Catalan is no gaires.
EXAMPLES:
They don’t eat many vegetables.
TOO MUCH:
We use TOO MUCH in positive sentences. You can use it with uncountable plural nouns. TOO MUCH in Catalan is massa.

We use TOO MANY in positive sentences. You can use it with countable plural nouns.

MUCH/MANY:
We also use MUCH/MANY in interrogative sentences. You can use MUCH with uncountable plural nouns and MANY with countable nouns. They mean gaire/gaires

We use object pronouns after the verb. (després del verb)
