The Ambrosia Trio
Sunday May 25th a at 4:00 pm—Join us as the Ambrosia Trio, featuring violinist Beulah
Cox, cellist Martin Fett, and pianist Frank Daykin perform selections from renowned
musicians Ludwig van Beethoven and Antonin Dvorak. The Ambrosia trio, formed in
1990, has been an established ensemble in the New York metropolitan area for the last 23
years. The trio recently premiered “The Sorrow of the Soul” in New York City and have
collaborated with the Buglisi/Foreman Dance Company and the Dutchess Ballet, as well
as NPR and WNYC’s live performance studio “Around New York.”
On the evening of their performance, the Ambrosia trio will be drawing from the
repertoire of Beethoven, performing Trio in E Flat, Opus 1, #1, and from Dvorak,
performing Piano Trio #1 in B Flat Major, Op. 21. You won’t want to miss this
performance from an ensemble with a love of chamber music and a reputation for
performing, with, “the warmest treatment that the composers themselves could have
hoped for.” $10 suggested donation. Reservations recommended; must be made before
5:00 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the performance: tix@puffinfoundation.org. The
Puffin Cultural Forum is at 20 Puffin Way (off Teaneck Rd.) in Teaneck. Call 201-8363499 or visit www.PuffinCulturalForum.org.
