Dear Parents and basketball campers,
My staff and I are excited to announce the dates and information for Coach
Organ’s 2012 Basketball Camp. This summer marks our sixth year of Coach Organ’s
Basketball Camp at Averill Park. My staff includes coaches who coach in both the boys
and girls basketball programs at Averill Park High School. We are also fortunate to have
former and present basketball players who will work with the youngsters that will attend
this year’s camp. (Please see our camp brochure for more information on this year’s
coaching staff.) Our basketball camp will accommodate the serious player as well as
those looking to have summer time fun. The following outlines important details about
this year’s basketball camp:

Coach Organ’s 2012 Basketball Camp is open to both boys and girls who attend any
school district. Last year’s camp included participants from Averill Park, Hoosic
Valley, Lansingburgh, Cohoes, Troy, and Tamarac schools. All are welcome!

Our Elementary School camp will be held Monday, June 25th – Friday, June 29th for
all players grades K-6; 9AM – 2PM at Averill Park High School.

Our All Grades Camp will be held Monday, July 16th - Friday, July 20th for all players
grades K-9; 9AM – 2PM at Averill Park High School.

Our basketball camp focuses on developing fundamentals such as ball handling,
proper shooting fundamentals, individual defense, rebounding techniques, fast break
& transition offense, teamwork, and self esteem.

Coach Organ’s 2012 Basketball Camp is among the most affordable basketball camp
in the Greater Capital District Area.
The time to improve as a team is during the basketball season. The time to
improve as an individual is during the off season. It is up to each player to develop his or
her fundamentals so they may reach a higher level of success. Coach Organ’s 2012
Basketball Camp will provide the instruction and essential tools to assist in each player’s
