Appendix C – Line Technology Andrew Reynolds Hi Andrew, I have just been piecing a couple of things together in my head for you: 1. I am thinking of 2 or 3 (depending on how many cameras you want) of our box cameras inside weatherproof housing mounted on top of our portable SportsMast. These are full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution with a good lens. We can put a wider angle lens on there if required. The housing will have a small fan and heater inside so won’t mist up or anything….. PORTABLE SPORTSMAST AND SPORTSCAM BOX CAMERA SET: · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · 1 x Full HD 1920 x 1080 Box Camera with good lens, IP Video output and HDSDI Video Output, Power Over Ethernet and mounted inside weatherproof housing (with fan and heater) 1 x Camera and accessories case 1 x SportsMast 45 (can go to 6 metres but you will only need to use to max 4m I would think) 1 x Integral Tripod 3 x Adjustable and peggable feet 1 x Padded mast carry bag 1 x Equipment carry bag 1 x Magnetic spirit level 1 x Auto tension guying set with carabinas 3 x Ground stakes and mallet for soft ground 3 x Stabilisation weight bags for hard ground 1 x Quick Release Headload adaptor 1 x Upgrade ball head (to set the desired angle of the camera) 1 x 10m full cable set 1 x Delivery to site TOTAL PRICE PER SET: £2,895.00 ex VAT If you buy two sets then I will provide the Cable Extension Sets up to 100m Free of Charge (saving you £225 ex VAT) If you buy three sets then I will provide the Cable Extension Sets up to 100m and the Four Port POE Switch FREE of Charge. (Saving you £375 ex VAT) OPTIONAL EXTRAS: Cable Extension Sets. These come in 20m increments and come complete with screw together weatherproof IP rated connectors. The cost for the Cat5 (IP Video) cable extension is £45.00 ex VAT per 20m set. So if you wanted to go to 100m it would be £225.00 ex VAT for 5 sets of 20m. (NB* The Cat5 cable can run up to a maximum of 100m and we use outdoor cable and all is fully weatherproof) 2. The box cameras will have an IP video output and an HDSDI video output that can be used simultaneously if required and therefore offer good scalability moving forwards. The two or three sets of cables would run back to the commentary box where they will be plugged into a four port network switch. We can run the cables up to 100m without having to boost the signal. If we need to boost the signal then this can be simply done from within the commentary box. 3. The network switch will be Power Over Ethernet (POE) so there is no need to run any additional power cables to the camera as they will be powered down the IP Video cable which will be Cat5. A decent four port network switch with POE will be around £150.00 ex VAT. 4. You would plug a powerful Core I7 laptop into the network switch and using our TVMS Software which is free with the cameras and you will see both or all three of the cameras on the laptop screen. Each camera is being recorded separately and you can then play back and review any of the footage from any of the cameras at any time. · · · A Core i7 laptop with decent graphics card, lots of RAM and say a 1TB good hard drive will cost around £700 / £1000 (inc VAT). There are good deals around for these at the moment and this time of year is a good time to buy one. TVMS Software is FREE FOR YOU TVMS Software Training Half Day is £250.00 ex VAT 5. You can attach any size tv or monitor to the laptop as well so you have a big view of everything that is going on. You can make any of the images full screen by simply double clicking on it and then simple click the escape button to go back to all the images on the one screen. (This element doesn’t need to be done but to let you know that it’s a possibility.) Something like a 24” PC Monitor which is HD will be around £150/£200 (inc VAT). You can take an hdmi output from the laptop into the Monitor. This is good for review when there are lots of people around inside the commentary box. We can run the hdmi cable from the laptop to the monitor up to 20m. Of course you can add this in at any stage. 6. So in a nutshell this solution above allows you to simply view and record three cameras from within the commentary box. You can also add additional cameras in as well if you ever wanted to as our TVMS software will handle up to 16 camera We can provide a half days training with no problem at all.
