Removing Stones
A Prophetic Word For River In The Hills -- Pastor Glenn Hubbart -- Oct. 6, 2013
I. Praise report from doctor appointment this week.
A. At the International House Of Prayer in Kansas City two weeks ago, I sensed the
Lord speaking in my heart that as the enemy attacked me with stones, he is also
attacking RITH with stones. There are spiritual stones blocking the flow of the river
of God in individuals and corporately at River in the Hills. In the natural, my liver
ducts were blocked by gall stones. (duct = conduit or canal ) used to convey liquid.
B. Prophetic Word for the new year: (5774 according the Hebrew calendar) Take your
authority as believers in Jesus and declare to the stones blocking the flow of God’s
Spirit that they must be removed in Jesus name. You have been given power and
authority by the blood of Jesus to nullify things as if they never existed and to call
forth things that BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY ARE. (Romans 4:17) Command
the stones that are hindering the full will of God (in your life…business….family
…and in this church) to move out of the way, so THE RIVER OF GOD can flow
freely and fully once again. Speak to the mountains, saints of the Most High, and
command them to be cast into the sea. For the Lord has given you faith that will
move mountains. Mk 11:23
C. God is like a river – Ezek 47:9 _______Dan 7:10 ________ Ps 46:4_________
D. Your life is like a river – John 7:37-39, Proverbs 4:23
II. What are the stones blocking the river ?
A. Stones of bitterness (gall = bitterness, bile)….rejection, betrayal, offenses,
unforgiveness. We all experience turbulence in our lives, because we’re all flawed
people who live around flawed people.
B. Stones of disappointment -- Prov 13:12 “hope deferred makes the heart sick”
C. Stones from the enemy – direct demonic attack, even while doing good works. For
example: a spirit of infirmity. Luke 13:11
Acts 14:1 “… a great multitude both of the Jews and of the Greeks believed. 2 But
the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the
brethren. 3 Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord,
who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to
be done by their hands.4 But the multitude of the city was divided: part sided with
the Jews, and part with the apostles. 5 And when a violent attempt was made by
both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to abuse and stone them, 6 they
became aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the
surrounding region. 7 And they were preaching the gospel there.
D. Stones of accusation by people Rev 12:10, Prov 18:21, 2 Sam 6:20
2 Samuel 6:21 King David says… “ It was before the LORD, who chose me
instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of
the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. 22 And I will
be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for
the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor.”
E. Stony soil in our heart – Mark 4:16-17 (no depth of soil, so the roots can’t go down
deep.) And when persecution comes because of the Word, we cower and wilt and
fold under the pressure.
III. The result of stones in our life: we become lukewarm in our dedication to the Lord.
A. Unmotivated
B. We’re not only called to love Christ and His cause, we’re called to love His church.
IV. How to get rid of the stones
A. Don’t throw stones yourself. When others throw stones at you, don’t fire back.
Romans 12:19 -- “Vengeance is mine, says the Lord.” Mt. 5:44, 5:39
B. Don’t curse the stones. Don’t strike out in anger or complaining about your situation.
Numbers 20:8-12 Moses was supposed to speak to rock not strike it with his rod.
He called them “rebels” …v. 10 “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you
out of this rock? 11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod”
Result: that generation was blocked from entering the Promised Land. (Num 20:12)
C. Speak to the rock – God told Moses to speak to the stone, and the river will flow
from out of the stone. Num 20: 7 “Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will
yield its water”
i. MAKE DECLARATION -- God is giving you to the power to declare
and decree things. To set things in order….to nullify things as if they
never existed and to call things forth … (to declare things that be not
as though they are). He’s calling us and giving us authority to SPEAK
TO THE MOUNTAINS and say “be removed and cast into the sea”.
Job 22:27-28 You will make your prayer to Him,He will hear you,And you will
pay your vows.28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for
you;So light will shine on your ways.
