Grade 6 Graduation dinner acceptance notes and payment due back by Tuesday 8th

TRIVIA NIGHT

On the 16th of December Tribal Council are having
an awesome Trivia Night for the students at our
school. The time will be from 5:00-6:30. To come
you will need to bring $5 with that $5 you will get
free water and free Pizza for tea. Prizes will be
awarded to everyone who participates.

Enrolments for 2016
We are currently taking enrolments for 2016. If you have a child who will commence
school next year and have not filled in an enrolment form for them please call by the
office and collect a form and return it to the school as soon as possible.
If you know of any families who have not enrolled their child for prep next year
please encourage them to visit the school and speak to Andrew.
Art Room Request
We are seeking items for the art room next year. Could you please save your
unwanted greeting cards (Christmas, birthdays etc.) and the small tin foil trays used
for Mince Pies. These can be left at the school office or given to the Art Room next
year. Thank you.

Walk to School
This initiative of the Victorian Government has been a great success. Students who participated have
been rewarded with a certificate and some children received weekly prizes. Congratulations to 5/6 G
who had the highest total of walkers, riders, etc.
We continuing to promote a healthy lifestyle and exercise with the Walking School bus leaving from
3 locations on Tuesday mornings. Keep up the great work and thank you to all who have
participated.
Netball Uniforms
Could all netball uniforms belonging to the school be returned to the school office by this
Friday. Students who do not return their uniforms by then will be invoiced for the cost of the
uniform.

Before & After School Care 2015
Before School Care will operate from 7:30am – 8:45am. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
Before school care does not run on Wednesday morning.
After school care will run from 3:25 – 6:00pm. in the multi-purpose room at the front of the school.
Students must have a Before & After School Care Enrolment form filled in before they can attend.
Forms are available from After School Care or from the school office.
Late Pick Up Fee - Please be aware that there is a $1 per minute/per child charge for late collection,
after 6pm.

Community Connect News
Mega Xmas Raffle
Thank you to the families who have made a donation to our Xmas Raffle. We would love to
have as many donations as possible. If you would like to help us with a donation of nonperishable food, Christmas decorations, wrapping paper, gift cards, toys, books, gift ware etc.
or anything really we would be most appreciative. The more donations we receive the more
prizes we will have for you to win. Donations can be left at the school office.
Raffle tickets have been sent home today and should be returned to the school office by
Thursday 10th December.
Kid's Club is on this term!
Kid's Club is a program run by the Brown Hill Uniting Church to which all Caledonian school
children are invited. Kid's Club will be on Tuesdays, 24th Nov and 1st & 8th Dec, 3.30pm-5.00pm in
the church hall on the corner of Humffray and Thompson streets.
We provide a nutritious afternoon tea, play games, share wisdom from the bible in a child friendly
way, and participate in a craft or cooking activity. We anticipate lots of wholesome fun and ask only
for a gold coin donation and friendly enthusiasm in return! Please pick up a registration form from the
office. Parents are welcome to stay, visit, or make further enquiries, Val 53315257.
Final Assembly for the Year
Our final school assembly for this year will be held on Tuesday 15th December at 9:00am. We will
farewell our grade 6 students at this assembly. The Community Connect raffle will also be drawn on
this morning. All parents are welcome to attend.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Times for our parent teacher interviews will be sent home tomorrow. We have endeavoured to
accommodate all requests but unfortunately some times were more popular than others. We apologise
in advance if you have not received the time you requested.
Orientation Day Tuesday the 8th December.
Students in grades Prep to 5 will be informed of their teacher and classroom for 2016 on this
day.
2016 Booklists
Booklist information for 2016 will be sent home in the near future. Collection times will be:
Wednesday 16th December 9:00 – 12:30pm, Friday 22nd January 1:00 – 6:00pm and
Wednesday 27th January 1:30 – 4:00pm.
Swimming Program
Dear Parents,
The swimming program for Caledonian Primary School students will conclude on Friday 11th
December.
We invite all parents and special persons to come along and see the great work that your
children are demonstrating as a result of completing our comprehensive Schools Swimming
Program.
You can find us at 403 Dowling St, Wendouree between 11.45am – 2.15pm.
Please see your child’s classroom teacher for specific class times. Each
session runs for 30mins.
All students swimming will be presented with a certificate at the end of their
session.
Your kids would love to see you and so would we. 

ACU Holiday Drama Classes for Children aged 4-14 at Connors Hall
Session 1: Monday 21st December & Tuesday 22nd December 2015
Session 2: Tuesday 19th January & Wednesday 20th January 2016
Session coast for the two days id $60. Sessions held at ACU Connors Hall 1200 Mair Street Ballarat
Children to bring a packed lunch, snack, drink, sunscreen and a hat.

programs where children will gain important dramatic skills including: interpersonal, collaboration
