M. Lowther questioned why MSU 307 was taken offline. T. Scarcia-King explained office was being given to Student Services and Campus Life to be used for Poll workers program. Office would be offline for at least one year.
Minutes were reviewed. Motion to approve made by L. Cassellia, 2 nd by M. Lowther. Motion passed.
Leah made note to follow up on note in minutes to incorporate specific guidelines on use of space to include the posting of each individual office hours.
Card retrofit is complete, still working out logistical details. Doors automatically lock and unlock. Follow up on the removal of old card readers.
Roof Update: Roof replacement is moving forward. K. Mills – roof replacement is more than just roof, it also includes masonry, flashing, etc. With the heavy rains of last week, the lower level TV lounge was flooded . This is an example of why the roof, masonry and flashing project is highly needed.
T. Scarcia-King – Sales & Solicitation committee is preparing to meet to review some issues.
Seeking to add additional student members to committee, to ensure a cross section of the student experience is adequately represented.
Request from RHA for gender neutral bathrooms on 10/22 & 10/23
L. Cassellia made a motion starting Tuesday 10/12 to identify 2 bathrooms next to ATM and across from the Cub Café as unisex bathrooms for a trial period to end the last day of the Fall semester. M. Lowther requests amendment to motion to state the trial period to last until February
MSU Advisory Board meeting. Amendment accepted motion 2 nd by C. Kelly. Motion passed.
Grant Requests;
L. Cassellia moved to approve the grant application for $250.00 for support for Love Your
Body Day, 10/19 sponsored by The Women’s Center pending submission of advertising, S.
Connell seconded. o Motion Passed, all in favor, M. Lowther abstained.
C. Bartlett solicited comments regarding the new Cub Café . J. Lockhart expressed disappointment in the lack of options in the selections this year.
L. Cassellia mentioned the line management at the Cub Café and Java City has not been resolved.
