Autism Strategy for Stirling and Clackmannanshire – Questionnaire STIRLING CARERS CENTRE In November 2011 the Scottish Government launched the Scottish Strategy for Autism and set out the national vision for autism services. Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils are working in partnership with Service Users, Carers, NHS Forth Valley and Third Sector organisations to develop and implement a local Autism Strategy. Consultation We would like to receive your views on the draft Autism Strategy for Stirling and Clackmannanshire and the proposed objectives and goals. The consultation period will run from 3rd November to 15th of December 2014. The strategy focusses on six key areas: (1) Assessment and Diagnosis, (2) Employment, (3) Information and Awareness, (4) Support for Families and Carers, (5) Life Outcomes and (6) Transitions. Who should complete the questionnaire? The questionnaire can be completed by children, young people and adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), parents, carers, professionals and anyone with an interest in autism and the local strategy. Not all questions may be relevant to all individuals. How long does it take to complete? The questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The questionnaire is anonymous and information is confidential Responses will be anonymous and confidential unless you choose to give your contact details or request a follow up meeting. What will happen to the results of the consultation? All results will be collated in January 2015 and will be included in the final strategy which will form the basis for the development and delivery of autism services in Stirling and Clackmannanshire. The final version of the strategy will be signed off by Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils Community Planning Partnership in the first quarter of 2015.
