Marcus Butler – 6’3” – Barton County CC
Marcus joins the Pioneers as a Junior College transfer from Barton County CC. While at Barton the
Cougars went 28-5 and won the Jayhawk West conference. He averaged nearly 10 points and 5
rebounds per game. The previous year he played at Cowley CC where the Tigers went 31-3 and were
champions of the Jayhawk East conference. Marcus is a 6’3” wing, originally from Flint, MI.
Michael Escobedo – 6’0” – Arroyo Grande High School
Michael hails from Pismo, California where he graduated and competed for Arroyo Grande High School.
The 6-foot, 185-pounder was named to the all-PAC 7 first team last year after averaging 13.8 points per
game, leading the Eagles through a 21-8 season and a CIF-Southern Section Division 3AA quarterfinals
appearance. Coached by Ryan Glanville at Arroyo, Escobedo looks to continue his development as a
Point Guard while at MNU.
Austin Hennings – 6’8” – Thomas Jefferson High School
Hennings, a 6-7, 215-pound freshman, averaged 14.8 points and 11.1 rebounds during his senior year at
Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, IA. At the completion of his senior season he was
named a second team All Conference selection in the MRAC. He will compete for playing time at both the
forward and center positions.
Zsolt Lakosa – 6’4” – San Diego Christian High School
Zsolt comes to MNU from San Diego, California where he played at San Diego Christian High School for
Coach Kelvin Starr. As a prepster, Lakosa averaged nearly 16 per game as Christian started the season
23-3. Originally from Hungary, Lakosa spent the summer playing point guard for the Hungarian U20
National Team.He will play all three guard positions for the Pioneers.
Conner Langrehr – 6’5” – Gardner High School
Conner completed his senior season at Gardner High School with a 3rd place finish at the 5A State
Tournament. He was named to the Kansas All-State team and was selected to play in the KBCA All Star
game as well as the Kansas-Missouri All Star game. He averaged 19.5 points per game as a senior while
playing for his father, Coach Jeff Langrehr. They finished the year with a 20-5 record. He is 6’5” and will
play shooting guard.
Chris Lindenmeyer – 6’3” – Bedford High School
The 6’3” guard from Bedford, IA is the most recent in a long line of Iowa prepsters to join the Pioneer
family. During his senior campaign, Lindenmeyer averaged 19.8 points on his way to earning first team All
State honors in Iowa. He shot over 40 percent from the 3 point line while helping the Bulldogs to a 24-2
record.
Luke Thomas – 6’8” – Raymore Peculiar High School
Thomas played his senior year at Raymore Peculiar High School for Coach Scott Jermaine. The Panthers
went 21-4 with Luke averaging 12 points and 7 rebounds a contest. The 6’8” Thomas also shot over 40%
from behind the 3 point line on the season. Thomas will compete for playing time at the forward position.
Gary Watts – 6’0” – Coffeyville CC
Watts is an Olathe native that will add depth to the guard position for the Pioneers. He spent this past
season red shirting at Coffeyville CC and will have 4 years of eligibility at MNU. As a senior at Olathe
North High School he played for Coach Jeff Walton. An explosive guard, he had a season high 42 point
performance against Blue Valley West and was a 2 nd team All league selection in the Sunflower League.
Ryan Bradley – 5’10” – Clinton High School
Ryan will be a freshman this season after competing at Clinton High School and Coach Rod Baxter. The
5’10” point guard started for the Cardinals and averaged 10 points and 5 assists during his senior
campaign.
Corey Dahl – 6’1” – Sante Fe Trail High School
Corey comes to MNU from Sante Fe Trail High School where he was a 3 year varsity starter. Over the
course of his senior year the Chargers went 15-6 with Corey averaging 11 pts and 5 rebounds per
contest. The 6’1” Dahl was coached by Brian Luther.
Andre Linzy – 6’1” – Coffeyville CC
Andre is a DeSoto native who is a Junior College transfer from Coffeyville CC. While at Coffeyville the
Ravens compiled a record of 46-20. They were co-conference champions in 2009 and conference runner
up in 2010. He is a tremendous athlete that will redshirt during the 2010-11 season and look to add depth
to the Pioneers guard position next year.
