The Burnie City Council has a responsibility to administer the Local Government (Highways) Act 1982 and Urban Drainage Act 2013. Under the relevant provisions of these Acts, a deemed compliance for vehicular access to the local highway and access to the Council stormwater system can be granted, subject to meeting the follow criteria: Vehicular Access YES NO The site of development has an existing constructed vehicular access between the road and property. ☐ ☐ The proposed use or development will not increase the volume of traffic using the vehicular access. ☐ ☐ The existing vehicular access will not be altered under the proposed use or development. ☐ ☐ Drainage Access YES NO The site of development has an existing stormwater connection that will be accessed. ☐ ☐ The proposed use or development will not increase the volume of stormwater directed to the stormwater system. ☐ ☐ The existing stormwater connection will not be altered under the proposed use or development. ☐ ☐ If you answer NO to any of these statements, a request for a Statement of Compliance will be required.
